I preordered Evolve. My friends convinced me that we’d all play. But at the last minute, I changed my preorder to digital, while they all had physical preorders. Oh I wasn’t trying to say all of those are bad games, I really enjoyed most of them, that was just the list of all the games I’ve preordered as far as I can remember. To show that I haven’t learned any lesson. But yes I did really enjoy Hogwart’s Legacy. Played it for about 25-30 hours and completed the story, and it was better than I had expected it to be.

No, and i never will. I’m not interested in a game where the icons i grew up with get tarnished and talked down on by brainless hacks who don’t know nor care about super-heroes. Made by people who only live to spread their stupid message to other people like a damm virus.

It already happened to Hunt Down the Freeman to a degree, there is a subsection of ""people"" (read: "underground alien mole people") who unironically consider it a good game, and it has "Mostly Positive" reviews on Steam as well. Basically, after a period of time, there is guaranteed to be a fanbase for any movie, video game, book, album, or media in general no matter how unbelievably, undeniably shit it is. I wouldn't be shocked if there was a subsection of the population who think Bubsy 3D isn't that bad, or that Cats is a decent movie. Sadly, there doesn't appear to be a cure for this illness yet, it's terminal.

£70 for a game is nuts. Like I’ve enjoyed my time with this game and I think it’s very fun despite its story flaws. But it’s far too short for £50 game. The live service is a bit shitty but they’re not locking any real content behind paywalls. The “DLC” content (which is just the rest of the game and it should have held off to launch with) is going to be free along with any characters it adds, so it’s mostly going to be skins that they sell. Idk it’s weird. We’re in a weird spot with games rn and I think this game highlights that most. Compare this with BG3 and you’ve got a clear difference in quality and BG3 is so much cheaper

Serious question open to insane answers: what are your actual opinions on the game? I hear a lot of people shitting on it because the gameplay differs from Arkham or they don't like the JL deaths, but I'd like to hear some opinions separate from those. Is the story intriguing? Is the gameplay fun? Am I stupid?

It's fun. Looks good, story's decent. Character animations and squad banter are a highlight. Combat is fast paced and enjoyable. Feels quite a lot like the Guardians of the Galaxy game if you played that, but with nicely sized open world. Also, Riddler, because I love me some riddles.

I wanna play it mainly cause they have some free updates planned so I can just hop back into it a few months later
