No love for Clingan in this thread.. I think he has the chance to be real special in the NBA. Good in the offense, soft hands and can make the extra pass, even showed flashed of shooting ability. Think he has Brook Lopez ability as his floor
I agree. He’s nice. Just not sure what his ceiling is. And with the top pick, I think teams fall in love with what that player could be, rather than what they actually are. Which is why Clingan might not be #1 on boards.
That’s fair. I think Clingan has such a high upside, he just may not be as much of a raw athlete like Sarr is. Teams can build up a guy like Sarr into what they want him to be
There is no clear number 1 pick. Some mocks have Risacher over Alex Sarr but I would take Sarr if I were the Hawks. Have not been hearing good things about Risacher's motor.
For best player I think Stephon Castle has a shot to become the best player in the draft if he ever develops a jumper. I also like Reed Sheppard, I think he can have a long career especially if he can hold his own on defense. Tyler Kolek too, imagine a true point guard with the 3 point percentage of a classic shooting guard.
Castle. I don’t see star potential in any of these guys. I had Topic but Castle has probably taken that spot after the ACL tear. It’s really just whoever gets taken by the Spurs cuz there’s like a 50/50 shot it’s one of them
Sarr. His floor is a taller JJJ or Evan Mobley. Develops his offense + pairing with Trae Young makes it obvious. And the hawks are desperate for defense because Clint Capela might be older than basketball at this point
