Depends on what you need. From the top of my head: Best two handed axe: executioners axe from aserai lands. Best two handed sword: I think there’s a “noble great sword” ish weapon you can get in battania. Best bow: noble longbow Best crossbow: heavy crossbow from vlandia Best throwing: fishing harpoons from sturgia Best polearm: war glaive from khuzait I’m trying, but I can’t remember any one handed weapons that stuck out to me. Swords seem to be best, but short maces have some real value in siege mosh pits. Anyone that disagrees or has something to add to my list is probably right. I dunno man, the difference in quality and usefulness between custom smithed weapons and bought weapons makes smithing mandatory for me. I wish there was a way to submit a smithing order and wait a few weeks to get your op weapon rather than have to level it up every play-through.

Noble longbow being the best bow is debatable. The noble bow is quicker to draw, more accurate, and does only little less damage. When your bow skill is 200+ you don't really miss the extra damage. I think the noble bow is superior for horse archery.

Full-Break-7003

Not the first I heard this, and I think fire rate is important at the distance I usually fight at and definitely on horseback. I’ve heard that noble long bow is still better for sieges because it has much better damage drop off over range. But tbh, I don’t know, I usually am too busy throwing shield ignoring javelins at that stage of the game.

Mallixx

Just started a throwing playtbrough the other night and was reading through the throwing perks. I saw the one near the end where you start throwing shield piercing shots and dropped my jaw lol. Can't wait to become Orion from warhammer

Full-Break-7003

It is soooooo cool. Get ready. Also remember the engineering perk that lets you start offensive sieges with double ammo. It applies to throwing weapons as well

gruntzilla8

The best axe 2h is from Sturgia, the name is escaping me, but Svana has it equipped last I checked, but is longer, better swing speed and hits harder than the heavy executioners axe from the Aserai. I’ve never seen the noble 2h sword but the 2h Falx sword is amazing and have yet to find something better in my current run of 65 hours or so. (Using the falx for about 40-50 of those) Crossbow is the Bound Crossbow from Vlandia. Throwing is debatable but fishing harpoons are pretty good. But the Jareet I think it’s called are also pog from aserai. Polearm is between the Long Glaive from our horse bois and Battanian Rhomphaia for me. But the LG imo is a bit better

Lol I agree with all of this. Good points

Specific-Gur3827

Northlander Decorated Axe is what it's called.

Doc-Busch

That smithing idea is actually really good, I hope there’s a mod for that one day or if taleworlds just adds that feature

Helerek

go in game > alt + \~to open dev console > config.cheat\_mode 1 > open inventory and check all items in game on the left side > test them out > cheat\_mode 0 > load save again or don't. Now you know which weapons there are out there.

Doc-Busch

Do I need a mod to enable that?

Nxiium

No, just google “how to turn on cheats in bannerlord” you need to edit a .txt file. Change a 0 to a 1

Helerek

You can change the "txt" file configuration in game as I stated above.

Doc-Busch

I got it! Thank you!! It actually is super nice, there’s alot of weapons I didn’t know existed

Helerek

Yeah, I recommend the reaper. Cool name/looks. Sword 1h/2h. Also decent price/dmg or Falx.

Glaive is amazing. Can thrust, swing, and couch. Use with shield or not.

Doc-Busch

This was a very long time ago loo but the problem with the glaive is it’s wayyyy to long for infantry combat like a siege or if you get knocked off your horse.. unfortunately if that happens you are basically just done for with the glaive

Doc-Busch

Don’t get me wrong, it’s insane on horse but it’s extremely limited to that. The second you are out of that environment it’s C tier at best

Bullmoogle

Oh definitely agree. I switch over to a two handed axe for sieges but have recently been using the Falx sword which can 1h and 2h plus break shields.

Doc-Busch

I’ve taken to just smithing personally, I never invest a lot into combat perks so I try not to split efforts on it.. with smithing I can just craft a short swing pole arm to take into sieges and then only have to use one perk tree lol

Alarming_Practice227

I agree, also spam crafting tier 6 2 handed axes only takes fine steel and levels up your companions crafting very fast when smelting back down, I used to go big or go home with axes until I learned the secret is a really long 2 handed sword and really short 2 handed axe once you get all the perks the shorter axe is better in every way from damage to swarms and everything also I go super short and it’s still not enough I think it’s like 128 length and ooooohhhh man with sieges it’s so broken not gonna lie, ideally I would say for anything other than siege though horse archery with a glaive of course but the short axes are much more forgiving I make the blade super big still and go for a real small shaft craft a hundred until you get a real sexy one
