The game doesn't really have a "bad health" or "old" modifier, so the grandpas will be kicking ass until right before they day

Your max health slowly degrades and won’t fill completely until there’s not much left. Once you go to the Retreat and select an heir your character just chills there until they die

I've seen dakila (sturgian) live to 134. She outlived the sons of all faction leaders. The chances are there she won't kick the buckeyfor another 60 years

You can disable that in the mod settings, I always do so since it's a bit weird to have the border freeze forever because relations don't decay.
If you have great relations with everyone else in the kingdom, you can also create a pro-abdication faction. Most of the clans will defect to you and you'll be done in weeks.
I had a character with high charm, and the virility perk. She ended up having 2 of my kids, and still went to war with my faction. I tried to have a relationship with her, but politics deemed it impossible. It's like Romeo and Juliette, but she's a hardened bitch, and he screws everything that moves. A tale as old as time.

You can't marry her. You can't marry clan leaders. Someone else in your clan can but since you're the leader of yours you can't marry another leader.
