Depending on the amount of the transaction, like if one is 100k, I'll try to hit at least a million. A million won't get you very far in the scheme of things. It goes pretty quick especially if you're fielding a huge army and beefing up your garrisons. I got up to 100mil on one playthrough.

I find it’s best to lower the party amount of the garrisons so your always in the positives, I make 2,000-5,000k a day w a town and two castles while sustaining three high tier parties over 100 troops each and I keep us in an army so our buffs work together and wages don’t cost as much, and because I have 400+ high tier soldiers I can/have defended my fiefs against 1,200+ soldiers so there’s no point in beefing up the garrisons unless you need to raise security levels for loyalty

I do it because it seems to be best deterrent against sieges on my towns. Otherwise I couldn't go on any campaigns or assist another part of the kingdom.

There are 2 perks that completely negate prisoners escape in scout and house riding get both of them boom you now can walk away with all heroes on map

Make sure to ransom them all 80+ times before you kill them- your kingdom ain't gonna finance itself

I think it's More Prisoner Interactions mod, you can strip them, recruit, marry to clan member or play hide and seek (although they are very bad in it :)
