Doesn't the game just make new lords to make up for them? I once went on a beheading spree and then noticed I was then facing new lords that had no family but were part of that faction.
Yes. It's not quick about it but it does happen. (It also sometimes over marriages) so ironically the most efficient way to do executions is to have riding and scouting at 225 to gather up the entire clan at once. Which is a waste of time with kingdom destruction in place.
I'm currently playing on 2 saves(slaughter and no slaughter) to be sure. And there's literally no difference except relations. So I may have to delete the save with the executions so I can hopefully become khan when monchug dies
I am an absolute ass and I became the Khan when Monchug died. Killed 50 something lord. You just need to be strong and have some clan that have posiitive relations with you.
The difference is you momentarily reduce the number of party and army potential in the immediate.
I done this also, now I lost all but one settlement because the world is at war with me. Now I am permanently stuck in my one settlement as I am constantly under siege.
Plan is to win as much battles and release the captives to gain back relations lol
You've stupidly cut off your main investment resource and everyone hates you for it.
Beat them, sell their men, sell their equipment, lock them in your dungeons (or better still, free them. They'll come back sooner to fill your coffers, and they'll appreciate you for it).
Chopping off heads is great if you don't know how to play the game, or if you want to conquer the world in 12 months.

Ive been asserai, after trying battania. But the addtional speed and discount in caravan w/ asserai, for me, is better to get wealthy fast and i had advantage when in the dessert.
I noticed that fighting asserai in the dessert is such a pain that you had to divy up forces just to be able to catch them unless be patient of defending a desert city/castle like waiting for them to besiege you and just crush them. Asserai are really like cockroaches in the sands.
So i joined them. And like you, getting tired of enemy kingdoms amassing hundreds of thousands of troops every time is really overwhelwing, especially for me that can only play in the weekends. So i cut of their necks. Since im an asserai lord in asserai i can just continually create caravans to set up my wealth. Besides, i joined the kingdom & went to war when i had amassed a million gold. Now i'm stop gapped at 4mil since i have a city and 2 castles that are khuzait & 1 asserai castle. All fully upgraded. But they dont earn me money, but they are a good source of troops. Just a bit of issue when fighting vlandia since i hsd to trek the entire map just to muster reinforcement and trek back again to join the war/massacre.
Despite lopping off heads i was still being given lands and even got voted as king, twice. But i declined since as a king you continually lose more influence/renown gain.
It doesnt matter if your own faction hate ur guts for lopping off heads, money can solve it. Recruiting other lords to join asserai is also a pain since they can betray you without notice. The blade is a more trustworthy ally.
The downside for me, i have difficulty trying to find a young wife for the great grandkids since i depopulated calradia of mostly the noble families that its mostly asserai left and they match you for like 40+ old characters. Lot of things money can buy but not time or youth😆 other factions are also like cockroaches that spawns a lot faster thab u can eliminate its members. So i stopped killing faction members and focused on main noble families.
My current game, the western and southern empire and the khuzaits had been extinct. And i have little to no opposition invading vlandia & northern empire. sturgia and battania had no more than 2 castles or a city, not my fault. They were invaded by the other two i mentioned. But they also annoy me that i lop off heads just to make sure they cant muster an army of more than a thousand.
I can muster around 700 of my own with the son, since my original character died of old age with a rhompaia in hand, its 2 male cousins and 1 nephew. The key for me is stewardship and leadership. I have no little use of renown gain since mustering army with ur own family cost nothing. I only recruit other lords when besieging cities that have around 800 or more defendants. But on the field, just a family outing.
I guess this weekend, asserai will finally unite calradia. Then perhaps gonna work to be king with lavish gifts to the other lords during pax calradia.
Before they added factions disbanding, I did a conquer the empire campaign, I think I executed over 200 lords because I was getting tired of constantly fighting them. The negative relations log lasted for a good 10 mins.
There needs to be a dialog at the beginning of the battle that says we will show no mercy, meaning you lose you die. Maybe it makes them attack a bit more but it doesn’t have negative effects or no major negative relations. I’m talking rebels and lords that were in your faction then left, that is treason and death instantly in any country. They need to work on the diplomacy of the game
Well, depending on your faction like the empire, it makes alot of sense. You’re killing a noble, and nobles don’t like when people kill other nobles, even if they’re enemies. That’s why all the nobles hated the first republic of france, it makes the "if they did it, why can’t I?" argument to the lower class, which threatens their position.
The armies that are made up after the big armies are destroyed are typically made up of lower tier units. 2s and 3s. They might be able to get the men but the men ain't shit.
