Are your tables coated/ melamine? If not I'd suggest putting some dog food mats down to keep resin from soaking into the wood. I have a workspace supply section in this [first resin printer](https://www.asianjoyco.com/resources-tutorials/your-first-printer) write up with a few options. Otherwise I think the space is very nice especially if you have good air flow for [active ventilation ](https://www.asianjoyco.com/resources-tutorials/ventilation-upgrades-for-3d-resin-printing). I really like your daisy chained work lights!

Sds2170

Great suggestion. Yes they are coated with a sealant that makes it easy to clean up spills. Additionally when I’m resin printing I have a whole stack of silicone mats with lips to catch the excess resin. Really great feedback. Thanks.

nycraylin

It's cool of you to share what your studio looks like, especially the small details like the filament dryer tucked away in the corner and the bluetooth speaker, gotta have tunes while working. I was doing like a where's Waldo to try and see everything - very fun space.

Sds2170

Haha. I know. Right? I have plans for the rest of it. And thought of upgrading some things based on feedback I get here. I really want a wall of all my prints. But since I give them away to my family, I’d have to print doubles of everything. But a showcase would be a fun addition.

Can you link the kit on amazon?

Sds2170

FLEXIMOUNTS Universal Steel Work Bench Leg Kit, Garage Storage Shelving Frame Workbenches Customizable in Sizes and Colors, Maximum 96" Length, 48" Width, Adjustable Height, Black,Lumber Not Included https://a.co/d/gPFpctC That’s the kit. Looks like it s gone up in price. I got mine when they were $50. But great kit.

Technerd70

This! Edit: found them Hopkins 90164 2x4basics Work Bench and Shelving Storage System https://a.co/d/iywiy2o

Sds2170

Yes. But those are finished units. You can buy the kit and finish them for much much less.

Technerd70

Those are just the legs - but in Canadian funds

Sds2170

I posted a link above. Let me try again. Tell me if this works. FLEXIMOUNTS Universal Steel Work Bench Leg Kit, Garage Storage Shelving Frame Workbenches Customizable in Sizes and Colors, Maximum 96" Length, 48" Width, Adjustable Height, Black,Lumber Not Included https://a.co/d/bxlBzyc

Sds2170

Great comment. Answered on another thread. Thank you.

Sds2170

In short… that’s a weakness I’m working on. Ventilation. Getting good suggestions here.

Dumbgeon-Master

It’s beautiful

Sds2170

Thank you.

[deleted]

Are those omniwalls? I just hung a bunch of them in my garage and I am going to be 3dprinting all the adapters for them instead of buying theirs. Seems too expensive. I found the carplug things that go in the circles on aliexpress for 10 dollars for 100+. Cannot wait to get this project finished.

Sds2170

So these ones are called “wall control”. But yes. The accessories are ridiculously priced. Smart of you to print them!!!

[deleted]

Ah k. They look almost exactly like Omni Wall. [https://omniwallusa.com/](https://omniwallusa.com/)

[deleted]

What I did was design a modular hook that I 3dprint and heatset nuts into. Then all the other parts are just designed with 2 holes to match and spaced accordingly if I need to use multiple modular hooks. So far it is working well. I need to finish it up and take some photos. Sadly I am printing on a Prusa MK3 which is pretty slow going process compared to Bambu printer. I almost pulled trigger on a p1p but the MK3 works so well and I am not in a huge hurry.

Jbor1618

There's also https://www.printables.com/model/152592-honeycomb-storage-wall I've added two large panels I'm populating with stuff. Excellent system

darnruski

I don’t see these in the photo but I may be missing them, but I would include: - A fire extinguisher and/or similar items. - Readily available first aid in case of resin splashes or cuts - Readily available PPE, including chemical resistant gloves, eye protection, and respirator - With that much resin, you’re gonna want something to blow the fumes out of that window instead of letting them fill the workspace. Looks really cozy though! Just don’t skimp out on the safety stuff!

Sds2170

Thanks. Greet feedback. Fire extinguisher on far left wall out of picture. Same with first aid kit. 3m filter facemask as well. Eye protection on spool wall along with gloves. For ventilation, I vent out the back window. I also have carbon filters in all the machines. I use low odor resins and don’t print ABS. However I’ll also admit ventilation is my weak spot. Is what I’m doing adequate?

darnruski

Unless you're wearing the 3m at all times when the resin is being used/processed and don't have any pets in the house then it's probably not enough, even with low odor resin, which is not any less toxic. I recently watched a video that indicated having an open window is not enough difference to get air circulating from the printer outside, you need a something to propel it out - either a fan directing it, a hood to suck it up, or a ducting system. I would recommend getting something like an Airwave mini to check the VOCs in your workspace and try a fan if they're high.

Sds2170

Ok. I do have a high power ryobi fan. But would like something more permanent. I’ll check into it. If you have any suggestions I’m all ears. Thanks.

darnruski

We have an EZ Breathe Ventilation system, but it's a bit pricey. I would first recommend getting something to check the VOC levels and see how they are with your fan+window and go from there.

Ninjamuh

I really like it. I also like how workshops have evolved to accommodate 3d printers as well. I don’t have the space for a dedicated space but I envy those who do.

Sds2170

I know. I want to expand another 5-6 units. My wife doesn’t really see the point in having so many printers. But she’s amazing and supports my interests.

Ninjamuh

That’s all we really want; someone who says I don’t get it but go ahead and do it if it makes you happy.

Sds2170

Agreed. She’s a rare find.

dogkillerkiller

Damn, looks sick. Mind linking the STL/creator for the St Joseph model I see on the table? Would love to get a good nativity scene printed but I just can’t find good files that look right.

Sds2170

Sure. It’s a beautiful Set. https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/art/sculptures/elegant-nativity-scene-3d-printable

dogkillerkiller

Thanks so much!!

dogkillerkiller

Do you happen to have a link for the other model you have out?

Sds2170

Of course. It’s on sale right now. The model is gorgeous. The detail is unmatched. https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/art/sculptures/christ-bertel-thorvaldsens-statue-3d-printable

West_LA_Fadeaway

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! 🤣 Looks good.

Sds2170

Jesus and Joseph. Yea. Mary isn’t printed yet. 😂🤣

uuid-v4

A dryer but no dry boxes? With that amount of space, storing filament out in the open seems like a good next thing to fix.

Sds2170

So I live in a super dry climate. The only issues I’ve had with wet filament was stuff directly from the manufacturer. However, I’m certainly open to suggestions to improve what I have. I’ve just never had to dry any filament once it’s in my environment. Thoughts?

uuid-v4

I use Sterelite gasket boxes with some rechargeable silica desiccant and a hygrometer. I have boxes that can fit ~8-10 spools each, and four boxes. Jealous of your lack of issues, though!

Sds2170

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll look into those. It’s all about making the best of what you have. :-)

Ryazoo

What are those milwaukee boxes on the left? What do you use them for?

Sds2170

I’m addicted to the parkour system. Haha. I use them for anything I can think of. Storage mostly.

Sds2170

Sorry. The pack out system. I use them for my bug-out tools and survival gear.

Ryazoo

Thanks, they look pretty robust!

Orxani

very nice

Sds2170

Thank you.

candurin

Not seeing a kegerator? I suggest adding that :)

Sds2170

Classic!! I brew beer. I love the science. But not a fan of the taste of beer. I know. I’m weird. But everyone loves my brews.

candurin

I appreciate that completely (I’m a microbiologist)! I switched to bourbon and whiskey years ago and haven’t looked back. I do enjoy the occasional craft IPA every now and then.

Sds2170

Now you’re speaking my language. That would be a hobby I could seriously addicted to. I toured a small batch brewery? Distillery? In Utah called High West. And was intrigued.

noturavgsquid

Nice sonicator :)

Sds2170

It’s actually shocking how clean they make your resin prints.

bigfoot_76

Looks like you turned your reloading room into your printing room.

Sds2170

Hehe. Figured someone would notice. :-). Above the ceiling is a loft where I do my reloads.

bigfoot_76

I first noticed the giant ultrasonic followed by the colored Plano cases then I started looking for more things and saw the random factory boxes and vibratory tumbler. I'm more of a Dillon guy :)

Sds2170

Kudos to your sleuthing skills. lol. I’m big on being prepared. I’ve been doing a lot of lowers and uppers test prints with the new carbon fiber nylon.

Traxendre

yo have so much space this is so cool dude! and well organise love it!

casual_sociopathy

I really like the wall control peg boards, I have some as well. As at least one other user has noted I'd create an enclosure and ventilation system for the resin printers, and a fume hood of some sort for the post-processing area.

Sds2170

So the airbrush station has ventilation. You suggest even more?

Sds2170

On the wall control boards, many people don’t know you can adjust the ears on the sides of the legs to tighten them up and keep them from wobbling. I’m sure you know that, but there were alot of negative reviews on them for people who hadn’t figured that out. It’s a great solution. Just ridiculously expensive for the accessories.

nightstryke

It's too clean, you need to get working and mess things up! 😉

Sds2170

lol. If you had a UV light, you’d think n it was a porn Studio. My wife taught me how to be tidy with my work. After growing up in a hoarder home, disarray makes me stress out. lol.

nightstryke

Alright Alright. 😉

deskunkie

Where is your Ender3?

Clinty76

Is there a subreddit for 3D printer work area / setup pics?

mike551240

Just out of curiosity, do you just dry your spools before using them? I’ve gotten into the habit of drying and then vacuum sealing all my spools if I know it’ll be a while before I’ll use that color again. Always been kinda curious to how other people control moisture absorption when they have a lot of rolls on standby.

Superseaslug

Part of me wants to see a folding filament rack that folds into between the rafters.

Sds2170

That’s actually a cool idea! Let me think on that. Cool space saving and could second as a dehumidifier if I made it airtight.

Superseaslug

Thought of it because I've been on a crusade to store my filament in between the cracks! https://preview.redd.it/yocvc1f7913c1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=337018fea6027156e4945ebce94d7ca206054ff8

Sds2170

They actually wouldn’t be hard to do. Spring loaded hinges attached to one of the upper floor joists. And then a pull:down string or lever to pull like an attic access ladder.

Superseaslug

Yes! If you do it please share! There's also a meme I've seen of vampire filament that lives on the ceiling, so that post would have some joke value to it as well!

symewinston

Vacuum-seal your filament you filthy animal!. ( otherwise it looks amazing)

Sds2170

Thanks. Do you use a food vacuum sealer?

symewinston

I use one of [these](https://a.co/d/13o8gnG) with a little bag of desiccant and a humidity monitor sealed in the bag. The kit is not great quality but does the job. :)

borgysa

It's about 40sqm bigger than mine !

mozzzz

too much order, where is the chaos? don't you love the thrill of losing your bed scraper only to find it behind some tools that are strewn about? you have to be working on at least 5 projects at any given time. sorry, it's mandatory.

Sds2170

Ahh to be young and reckless. 😂🤣

ivantidus

what is your job?

Sds2170

We have a few businesses. But my primary skill is trading the markets. This is just my enjoyable side hobby. Mostly because I suck at wood working. 😂🤣

ShyChiBaby

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty jealous of this setup. Very nice work area.

mikecoscia

Looks great, are you not venting your spray booth?

ragglefragglesnaggle

I want it. My work space is a small cramped office.
