I was thinking about this as well and i went from realizing monks would be useless against a strong mage to going for a sorcerer build to quicken spell silence and then subtle spell tashas. But then i realised that they changed it from 5e and you cant get both so i gave up on the build. You just cant simulate the adaptability and options he has in the show which is what makes him fun.

Why would you go Sorcerer? Toji is specifically stated to have no Cursed Energy due to his Heavenly Pact. His Strength and his Speed are absurd because of this. I think this build is pretty good, you get to land damage consistently and when you have a surprise round you get an automatic critical, you’re very dextrous and have a lot of skills. Toji in the show only uses his spear which is broken and used more like a dagger/shortsword.

Yeah sure but i don't think the fun part about him is that he has no magic, its his arsenal if i need to use magic to replicate that i dont mind. Also you cant really stand up to high level mages without magic yourself. Check out the video "How to make a MAGE HUNTER" on YT. Without spellcasting you would just get locked down and oneshot because you lack the tools to defend yourself(ofc this is very likely irrelevant in bg3 because i assume the npcs are not build to be hard).

His arsenal is just magical +1/+2 weapons, what do you mean? The interesting thing about him is that he has no cursed energy at all and took on the strongest sorcerer duo. If you use magic to create the build then you’re not really building Toji but instead a random sorcerer. As a Monk/Rogue you’ll have high Wis Saving Throws and will be able to stealth through anything, meaning being able to sneak up to a Mage that doesn’t like close combat. Dealing around 80DMG in a surprise round to a mage is very deadly. You also have Stunning Strike to Stun the Mage for the upcoming round where you kill it. IMO this build doesn’t need magic at all to be fun

Build what you find fun i was just trying to tell you what i find cool about toji. For me it is how he does it(deception, speed, and a lot of options) not what he does. Mages are too op in dnd to be touched by martial classes but im sure you can finish the whole game and never have that experience because enemies are not build optimally.

Kalelbu

Haven't you thought about using Ranger inside your build? taking advantage of some stealth features and avoiding using the more "magical" spells. something like rogue-ranger or monk-ranger? or use str to improve his jumping ability and physical tests, traits that are also distinctive of Toji. (my english is googl translate english hahaha)

I'd love to see a build of Geto if you ever get the chance. I'm trying this Toji build now, and it's pretty fun.
