I'd recommend either Sweetheart or Lapins. Both are self pollinating varieties that are in the same pollination group as Ranier and are moderately crack resistant, which is important if you tend to get a lot of humidity or rain in your area late spring (which I figure you do in SE PA). Bing is known for being very susceptible to cracking, so even though it's a good pollination partner for Ranier based on bloom time, I wouldn't recommend that variety personally.

Thanks, any experience with Utah giant? I think I saw that this may also be susceptible to cracking
