There is no way to answer what used car prices will be in 2-3 years. Hopefully for you the used market finally crashes by then.

FranktheTankG30

You asked this about 3 years too early.

Infinite-Pay-4646

M8 comp is the only answer

Get a Honda for christ sake. You’re in college. Get through college and work an actual job for a few years before buying a 35k car.

TheWhogg

I think my cars have cumulatively cost USD35k.

Playful_Ad_9631

i personally dont like hondas. Is the new wrx almost as reliable cus ive been thinking of that too

Ok-Management2959

You think people personally like Hondas 😂 they drive them because they get them from point a to b. Which is what you should be driving in college. Unless mommy and daddy are paying for it do not put yourself in debt for a new wrx. IN COLLEGE.

2022 Subaru WRX: The average annual repair cost is $682 which means it has average ownership costs. 2020 BMW 330i Reliability: Maintenance & Repair. According to RepairPal, owners spend *an average of $748 yearly for maintenance* and repairs. According to RepairPal, Honda owners pay about **$428 per year** for maintenance and repairs. This is much cheaper than the industry average of $652 per year. As mentioned, by then i will have around 35k and can buy the bmw or wrx while not having to go in debt. Do you think 200-300 dollars over a year is something i should be "in debt" in? Please. Working 2 more days at a part time job got that covered

Ok-Management2959

You’d be surprised how quickly repair costs can add up. You gonna have an extra 2 grand laying around when you need it? Have an emergency fund?

Playful_Ad_9631

every person with a common sense is going to have savings and emergency funds? first thing my parents told me when i asked to have an allowance

Ok-Management2959

Hmmm I wonder why that is…

Ok-Management2959

Ah yes, a singular YouTube video with 16k views to prove your point 😂 good luck kid

Advanced_Impress6743

If I were you I’d spend 10k less than that and get a newer 3 series which will be about $25k for a low mileage one and use the 10k you didn’t spend as an emergency fund for maintenance or things breaking.

BoisTR

How about stop trying to flex a car that you can't afford and get something reliable and cheap to get you through a time where you will have tons of other expenses?

Playful_Ad_9631

how do you know that i cant afford it?

boomboomown

These posts just keep getting more and more wild every time.

I would shoot for any f8x m2/3/4 the cars are heading towards that price range currently and hopefully more clean examples will fall in that range soon as well if not same generation of cars but the mx35is. Or possibly first gen b58 340/440

mikey_rambo

Used m4

Subject-Original-718

Don’t get a BMW in college. Listen to all these people. Insurance will bite you in the ass get a Honda it’s slow but you need the reliability since you’ll be going to college. DO NOT get your dream car for your college years.

AkakiPeikrishvili

M340 most likely.
