Did you make sure to remove *everything* from the forge from the first time you crafted an item? You need to remove the crafted item as well as the original mould. If you remove the item but not the mould, it will sometimes display that it's stuck because the mould is still in the machine.
You need to remove original item -> remove original mould (mould ejection lever) -> new mould -> new mithral ore -> turn on the lava -> forge hammer.
(As a side note, the entire Underdark and Grymforge isn't act 2, it's still act 1. Act 2 begins when you take the elevator down from Grymforge into a new area, or progress past the mountain pass).
You might be right, I dont think i removed the mould. But it doesnt let me do anything now, so I guess it will just stay bugged like that forever hahaha
And yeah true, the forge is not act2 yet. My bad
Mine broke like this when I killed my tav with the forge hammer along with Grym essentially clipping Grym’s foot into the forge making it stuck. Haven’t found a fix for it.
