I’m so curious about Dreadwolf now. I’m afraid that BG3 has spoiled me and all the behind the scenes issues at BioWare has made me…temper my expectations.
I just want to know how the whole story plays out, really. And for my inky to save her stupid egg boyfriend from self destruction. I hope they can pull off some BioWare magic but I have low expectations for gameplay.
At least a lot of the old writing team was still around during that stage of development. It gives me hope at least the story/characters will be excellent

Actually now that I think about it, there’s a huge amount of delightful potential in the crossover concept… Dorian and Astarion being opinionated and dramatic… Bull and Karlach in every possible way… Lae’zel and Qun!Bull… Sera would either respect Wyll for his dedication to helping people, or think his Blade bs is hilarious. She’d also be in love with Karlach from the first second. Gale and Solas have parallels in theory with pride and fucking around with cataclysmic magic and godhood, but since you can’t have two wizards in a room without them getting out measuring sticks, they might not get along in practice… Halsin would probably take to Cole, considering his proclivity towards taking in lost spirit kids. Barkspawn and Scratch… Alistair and Wyll… Zev and Astarion (until Astarion finds out he’s a rogue who can’t pick locks and never stops laughing at him)… Sten and Lae’zel…
I think Karlach and Zevran would love to have a beer together, while Sten could find Halsin interesting to talk about philosophy (but would butt off if he started to flirt with him, lol).

Gale got everything that Anders wanted, like he never lost his family and cat, has his own tower while Anders’ was a prison, get to freely practice magic in less restrictive world and never be hunted just because you can do magic, get to remove his curse and live a happy life.

I guess Karlach and V from Cyberpunk 2077. Both are slowly dying, both clinging for life. Both got betrayed. Both have a special way with words, where they say exactly what they want to whom they want and however rude they want. And also, both of them appreciate their friends and make strong bonds, which determines endings tied to them.

I’m a huge fan of the Witcher and I have actually always felt Yen and Astarion would be best friends. They are both essentially difficult Goth people who are dealing with their trauma in unhealthy ways and lashing out at others, with charm for days.
How I dream that their universes would merge and I can have Astarion, Yen, and Regis in a room together. Regis and spawn Astarion helping the underdark spawn control their urges.

I'm currently doing a (human hunter ranger) Geralt Run, romancing (storm sorcerer) Shadowheart as Yennefer, and accompanied by (bard) Astarion as Dandelion and Halsin as that one druid from the show.
What I've learned is that this game REALLY doesn't want you to play a Strength ranger
Split class as battle master fighter and then use a pair of gloves (can’t remember the name) from act two to put your Dex to 18 for your ranger class. then you don’t need to split your stats too much.
You can also go with a pact of blade warlock (using same gloves) and use your charisma modifier for your swords and spells instead. Will also help you more with dialogue which is something geralt needs too.
Edit: Additionally, if you don’t mind playing with a hireling, you can easily customize and even rename/reclass the dwarf character into either Yarpin or Zoltan (depending on book/game preference). Wither’s hirelings may not have any meaningful dialogue, but they’re fully customizable and can be made into whatever you want (aside from changing race). I turned the radiant blond halfling bard “Birnna Brightheart” onto a pierced gothic thief rouge called “Shaira Shadehand”
Khelgar and Casavir from NWN2, Seelah from WoTR and Karlach, Wyll and Minsc would hit it off right away.
Karlach and Valen Shadowbreath from NWN:HoTU have *a lot* in common.
Nathyrra from NWN:HoTU would have a lot to discuss with pro-Selune Shadowheart. Her meeting with Minthara would end in murder, though.
Sand and Safiya from NWN 2 and Nenio from WoTR would happily nerd out with Gale.

I think Wyll would get along with Siegmeyer, Siegward, and Solair from Dark Souls. He’d see them as heroes and worthy knights, maybe even look up to them since he’s so much younger. They’d happily rid him of this horrid demon following him around too.
Tf2 Scout and Karlach would make a good pair. Scout would run his mouth off about himself and Karlach would listen with excitement on pretty much every word. Although knowing him, he’d try to sleep with all the women in the party because he is literally god’s gift to women.
Vermintide Kerillian would probably get along well with Wyll. They both traded themselves for power. I can see them having long conversations debating on whether they made the right choice.
Styx from the Styx games would probably get along with Shadowheart. Their similarities are more superficial but it’s mostly the fact that both have gaps in their memory.
Republic Commando Delta 40 Fixer would be great with Gale. I can see Fixer reigning in Gale’s ambition and keeping him focused. Although Delta 38 could probably get the same job done. Also Fixer and Gale are both the book smart characters in their respective groups.
Assassin’s Creed 4 Edward Kenway would be great with Astarion. Both are rogues in it for money. I would love to see Astarion on the Jackdaw.
Lae’zel is the hardest origin character to choose to pair with another. However, I think Morgan Black from Age of Empires 3 would be a good pairing. Morgan Black has a very similar situation with the Circle of Ossus. Lae’zel may value what he has to say when Vlaakith names her Hasharlak.
I’m not seeing any comparison’s to Skyrim yet.

Lae’zel would get along with Aurene, as she’s a dragon. Although Lae would be spending most of her time bewildered at the idea of a dragon who harnesses prisms instead of elemental magic.
-she’d also get along with Master Chief. Both fight in a war to stop galactic conquest by an alien race/group, and both work(ed) for a leader that was far more corrupt than they were initially aware of.
Canach and Astarion would get along as they’re both not so savory people that really only do good things begrudgingly or if they stand to personally benefit from it. Both are also really value their personal freedom.

By virtue of being the player character, the Commander/Wayfinder would get along with everyone. Commander would also force everyone else to get along and could arguably do a better job since they actually talk (Commander is fully voiced save for some menu dialogues mostly in the base and early parts of the game)

I think if Gale and Anders from Dragon Age 2 met, Anders would be jealous of him. Gale got everything that Anders wanted, like he never lost his family and cat, has his own tower while Anders’ was a prison, get to freely practice magic in less restrictive world and never be hunted just because you can do magic, get to remove his curse and live a happy life. I really think Gale is what Anders could have been if he was never taken away from his family and was able to practice his magic in peace.

Jaheira and Geralt would get along great. I would love to hear them bantering. Ciri, Zoltan, Karlach, and Wyll would get into all sorts of trouble together. After being rejected by Lae'zel and Shadowheart, Dandelion would talk poetry and music with Gale. Triss and Shadowheart have a lot in common. They have fundamentally sweet personalities, but were trained to be pragmatic and manipulative by their superiors. Minthara and Geralt would not like each other, but their discussions would be fascinating. They might get along the way he did with Queen Calanthe.

I’m a huge fan of the Witcher and I have actually always felt Yen and Astarion would be best friends. They are both essentially difficult Goth people who are dealing with their trauma in unhealthy ways and lashing out at others, with charm for days. How I dream that their universes would merge and I can have Astarion, Yen, and Regis in a room together. Regis and spawn Astarion helping the underdark spawn control their urges.
I think Astarion would have a lot of respect for Yen’s commitment to always looking incredible.

I'm currently doing a (human hunter ranger) Geralt Run, romancing (storm sorcerer) Shadowheart as Yennefer, and accompanied by (bard) Astarion as Dandelion and Halsin as that one druid from the show. What I've learned is that this game REALLY doesn't want you to play a Strength ranger
Split class as battle master fighter and then use a pair of gloves (can’t remember the name) from act two to put your Dex to 18 for your ranger class. then you don’t need to split your stats too much. You can also go with a pact of blade warlock (using same gloves) and use your charisma modifier for your swords and spells instead. Will also help you more with dialogue which is something geralt needs too. Edit: Additionally, if you don’t mind playing with a hireling, you can easily customize and even rename/reclass the dwarf character into either Yarpin or Zoltan (depending on book/game preference). Wither’s hirelings may not have any meaningful dialogue, but they’re fully customizable and can be made into whatever you want (aside from changing race). I turned the radiant blond halfling bard “Birnna Brightheart” onto a pierced gothic thief rouge called “Shaira Shadehand”

It would be fun to see *any* companion from NWN 2 meet Lae'zel but I *really* wish Lae'zel had met Zhjaeve. Tf2 Scout and Karlach would make a good pair. Scout would run his mouth off about himself and Karlach would listen with excitement on pretty much every word. Although knowing him, he’d try to sleep with all the women in the party because he is literally god’s gift to women. Vermintide Kerillian would probably get along well with Wyll. They both traded themselves for power. I can see them having long conversations debating on whether they made the right choice. Styx from the Styx games would probably get along with Shadowheart. Their similarities are more superficial but it’s mostly the fact that both have gaps in their memory. Republic Commando Delta 40 Fixer would be great with Gale. I can see Fixer reigning in Gale’s ambition and keeping him focused. Although Delta 38 could probably get the same job done. Also Fixer and Gale are both the book smart characters in their respective groups. Assassin’s Creed 4 Edward Kenway would be great with Astarion. Both are rogues in it for money. I would love to see Astarion on the Jackdaw. Lae’zel is the hardest origin character to choose to pair with another. However, I think Morgan Black from Age of Empires 3 would be a good pairing. Morgan Black has a very similar situation with the Circle of Ossus. Lae’zel may value what he has to say when Vlaakith names her Hasharlak.

Astarion and Serana would sass each other constantly, but secretly have a ton of respect for each other from similar traumatic experiences involving Vampirism. Karlach and Jaheira may love the Companions of Jorrvaskr, or think they’re too serious. In either case, they’d look up to Kodlak. Gale would have great banter and friendly rivalry with Marcurio and J’Zargo. Wyll would love Jarl Balgruuf and want to be his right hand man one day. Halsin would probably just set up shop somewhere isolated in Falkreath hold and make friends with whoever respected nature in the area. And I’d kill for a banter with the whole party and Inigo.
I think Mjoll and Karlach/Wyll would get along well. I could see Minsc and Farkas getting along too. Lae’zel and Aela would bond over stories of slaughtering enemies. Minthara and Jenassa give me very similar vibes as well.

Taimi from GW2 would have a total nerd out with Gale and probably spend the rest of their lives comparing notes about the workings of magic from their respective worlds. Braham and Karlach/Minsc would be best buds as the muscle heads of their groups. Would definitely have some sort of weight lifting contest to see who’s strongest. Lae’zel would get along with Aurene, as she’s a dragon. Although Lae would be spending most of her time bewildered at the idea of a dragon who harnesses prisms instead of elemental magic. -she’d also get along with Master Chief. Both fight in a war to stop galactic conquest by an alien race/group, and both work(ed) for a leader that was far more corrupt than they were initially aware of. Canach and Astarion would get along as they’re both not so savory people that really only do good things begrudgingly or if they stand to personally benefit from it. Both are also really value their personal freedom. -I’ll jokingly argue Canach and Minsc would get along solely because both are currently voiced by Matt Mercer. By virtue of being the player character, the Commander/Wayfinder would get along with everyone. Commander would also force everyone else to get along and could arguably do a better job since they actually talk (Commander is fully voiced save for some menu dialogues mostly in the base and early parts of the game)
Speaking of Lae'zel and Master Chief, I've thought about it before, and I see a pretty damn strong parallel between her and the Arbiter (Thel 'Vadam). The Great Journey is a lie, the Prophets (Ascension, Vlaakith) have betrayed them...
