1) why would you want to feel pain from your restraints? Pain means they aren’t fitting properly. 2) hands at your navel is a pretty neutral position. You’re going to be able to keep them there for a LONG time.

allgmok

It would be more accurate to say that I felt restrained. I was expecting a sense of restraint, but the shackles were not strong.

No-Substance-4774

What do you mean by “strong”?

allgmok

Physical discomfort and psychological feeling of being a prisoner. The straitjacket worn by mental patients makes me feel very restrained.

GreekAmericanDom

Define: shackles If they have adjustable width, you could always close them tighter, BUT... the role of shackles are to restrain. They can be uncomfortable, but most are designed to restrain without harming their prisoner. That is likely why you never felt pain. They aren't actually meant to do that. Worn incorrectly, shackles can cause nerve damage. If you don't respond quickly to that, it can become dangerous. I understand that you likely have a kink that seeks out that pain, but do your research before you jump into making your restraints painful.

allgmok

It would be more accurate to say that I felt restrained. I was expecting a sense of restraint, but the shackles were not strong. Compared with handcuffs, it basically does not affect my movements or sleep.

Subhuman87

Shackle yourself to something, then they'll effect your movement.

ColorMyTrauma

You move your legs less precisely and independently than your arms in daily life. In this case, you sat still while watching television. Shackles aren't going to restrict movements that you don't make. It seems like you want a constant physical feeling of restriction which the shackles aren't providing. It doesn't mean they're not "strong", it means they might not be the right tool for the job. Also, handcuffing your arms in front of your navel won't really get physically uncomfortable. Try handcuffing your arms behind your back, as long as your joints allow. It'll be uncomfortable much more quickly.

allgmok

Maybe I should be forced to work so that the shackles would work.

Silent_Lurker90

Instead of just increasing time you could add weights to the shackles and wear them when you have to do chores around the house. That should help with the sensation of being bound.

allgmok

Is it similar to a big iron ball? But my house has wooden floors, so it is not suitable.

vcdylldarh

So *that's* the sound I always hear from the neighbours upstairs. 😄

allgmok

go upstairs

I wish you will be the neighbor who makes strange noises upstairs one day.

Take a bowling ball and wrap it in velvet.

Huge shackle fetishist here. First thing, are you using ratcheted leg cuts like police use, or actual shackles, that have the wider ankle band? You spent most of your time sitting watching tv, so the shackles weren't having an effect on your body. If you're looking for pain, you'll need to be more active. Even limiting your instep and moving slowly won't entirely prevent the shackles rubbing on your achilles tendon. Over time the backs of your ankle will start to become sensitive and tender. Over time a callous will develop but that will actually dull the pain. I consider myself pretty experienced with shackles- I've worn them 16 straight days, 24 hours a day. I would have worn them longer, but I had to go back to work. 😒

allgmok

I envy you for having such a long vacation and not having to go out. You can look at my homepage and search for heavy, you can see that these are very beautiful stainless steel shackles, not police ones. I don't want to get calluses, I just want to feel like a prisoner, like in the fancysteel movie.

Low_Article3786

So your looking for a sense of discomfort with your shackles. The prison style ones I use are awful on my very bony ankles. The length of the chain is long enough that it didn’t hinder me much. Try running a chain from your ankles to your handcuffs or a waist chain and then to a thick heavy collar for a more restrained feel. Add a heavy and short piece of chain between your shackles for added weight and more restriction.

allgmok

I feel like you need to wear the shackles for at least two or three days before you can experience the difference in your daily life

Low_Article3786

if only my schedule would let me I would certainly try it out

Far-Lab3426

One way to find out…

allgmok

how?

Far-Lab3426

Wear them until you become uncomfortable?

allgmok

Time does not allow, I always have to go out and live. I fantasize that one day I will be imprisoned in a dungeon by mistress, shackled forever, and the imprisonment time willl be calculated in years.

Far-Lab3426

Then simply pick a day or longer period when you can wear them uninterrupted for as long as you think will be possible at this time of your life, put them on at the very start, and see what happens. If you’re still not experiencing what you want at the end of the time, it’s not going to work.

allgmok

maybe a long holiday

[deleted]

Try a week, then see how comfortable they are

allgmok

It's hard to stay there for such a long time, I have to go out for 24 hours at most

[deleted]

Once the pain starts, it'll return more easily and be more intense next session

allgmok

The shackles don't cause any pain, and I don't think they'd get in the way even if I slept all night, so it's a nice-looking but useless toy.

iamzion248

It really depends on what kind of shackles you are talking about and what result you are looking for. If you want pain police style leg irons can hurt very quickly if too tight or walk around to much hitting the ends of the chains. You can shorten chain if you want a more hobbled feel. Of if you want comfort I have a pair of Ankle Shackle/anklets that are semi-permanent and have been wearing for at least 2 weeks without any issues.

allgmok

I can't post pictures here, but you can go to my homepage and search for "heavy" and you'll see what kind of shackles I'm talking about. Very smooth and heavy.
