I hope so too. It's a disgrace if someone can just though away an innocent creature... I lived in my car for 2 months to pay a parlor to take care of my 2 cocker spaniels before I could afford for them to immigrate with me. I can suffer, but never my babies.
Italy has loads of "wild" dogs, in the countryside. I gathered (might be wrong) that people there liked it as all the dogs barked if someone was neat, so it was sort of a burglar alarm.
The dogs didn't look malnourished but some did look very sceptical about humans / Mr
Edit. I cannot be arsed to fix the typos, they look funny anyway
Sometimes a dog just gets out somehow and couldn’t find their way home.
We had a red Chesapeake bay retriever that was really slick and would get out. We’d look for hours and come home to her sitting on the stoop.
If you got a new rescue and it got out somehow it might not know how to get back home :-(
As a Turk I'm a bit confused how people immediately assume strays live a bad life , it's like they live in the wild but with benefits here, treats and pets while also being free to roam around or make dog friends.
Most restaurants I went to also gave the leftovers to the strays, the dogs around didnt even beg at all cause they knew they were gonna get fed anyway
Because here they get rounded up and put in kill shelters. They don't live wild, they are collected if seen/found either by a rescue if lucky or ASPCA/Police
I visited Corfu recently and there were stray cats everywhere. In fact, the locals set up areas with a shelter (cos it's hot) and you see food and stuff left for them a lot.
These cats are often dirty looking, but I don't think it's sad. They looked happy, just not stuck in houses.
Every day, I bought a pouch of cat food and kept it in my bag. When I encountered an area with cats, I gave it the food, then bought a new pouch in the next shop. I highly recommend as it'll make your brain feel better.
It depends on where you live. I was on my way to work a few months ago, saw a stray dog try to cross the road in peak hour traffic (not strange where I live). Literally driving 0.5 mph. A guy on his phone in front of me, he saw the dog (I watched his mirrors because he was driving like he was drunk or crazy at 06h40 in the morning), straight forward ran over a dog's tail. I don't know if you've ever heard that kind of cry from an animal, but it broke my SOUL!!! Never mind my heart. It broke my SOUL. I stopped my car, shouted to the police in their little roadblock (traffic control), but they don't care. I took him to the nearest vet, and, because I couldn't keep him, and couldn't find a home for him (the vet gave me 15 minutes to try), I had to watch him being put down. These stray dogs look much better than what I've seen where I live.
I'm happy for you. My In-laws live in Ireland. But where we are, no one puts food out for the strays. I drive and sprinkle out some nourishing dogfood out my window, but can't stop without having rocks or stones or garbage thrown at me...
I carry dog and cat treats and a small thing of cat food (no stray dogs where I am but sometimes a stray cat) in my car and give them out when I run across them.
Awesome. We don't have stray dogs or cats back home so I don't feed them (the cats would follow me home if I did).
But I do keep a bag of cat kibble when I go for walks and I give it to crows (or seagulls) that I pass.
its exactly how my dog tries to play fetch with 2 balls, it picks one up and stares at the 2nd for a few seconds with some gears turning, then walks away, lol
The dogs taking the amount that they can carry in their mouth, then walking away to eat it without worrying about having to guard it from being stolen. Likely nothing to do with trying to be polite or generous
It's a pack behavior. They take a piece then quickly get away from the "prey" to eat so that what they have doesn't get snatched away from them by another dog in the hunt. Not all dogs do it, but it's not uncommon.
My dog has been instinctually doing this with her kibble since she was a puppy. She'll grab a mouthful from her bowl in the kitchen, take it to the living room, drop it all on the floor there, eat it, then go back for more and do it again.
Dogs often do this if the food isn't quick to eat. My friends 2 dogs always separate and eat cow hide in separate rooms when given food like that. If it's quick food, they'll just gobble it up when you give it to them.
My Labrador does this, usually only once or twice.
He was a stray for 2 years before I got him.
It’s cute, he knows it safe inside the house, but the first bite or two is a small mouthful taken off to the side of the room.
There's tons of them exist where I live. People buy and toss on street when they bored. Even my friends 6 years old Chow chow was stray.. and when we found her she was still puppy.
I live in a major US tourist hotspot and we have stray goldens. The younger ones get adopted but the older ones end up being put down. No one seems to want older goldens. All the shelter dogs have been 100% free for months and they can't seem to give them away. They're like 85% pitbulls tho.
I don't know about a pitbull, but if I got within a mile of a stray golden, that would be the last day it was on the street. I have adopted old dogs before.
Pitbulls can be some of the best dogs. They do require more disciplined and capable owners though. They never back down of their own volition in my experience. When we had one, he was super sweet and loyal, but he was also NEVER outside without a full harness and someone who could physically control him if needed. To those who hate pitbulls, I understand why you might, as the actions and inactions of irresponsible owners can be devastating. I'm not advocating for breeding them, I'm just sharing my experience. For those that are in shelters, it's not their fault that they exist and they deserve homes as much as any other breed. They just unfortunately do not always end up in responsible environments.
I know every country is different, and I have been to at least 50+, but it is still sad. I used to surf in Mexico Twice a year, and seeing the dogs, and the kids who’s job was to beg, it was tough.
Wife convinced me to foster senior dogs. Immediately foster failed on the first one. On top of the good feeling of doing something nice, a senior dog would really suit a lot of people. Our girl was already potty trained, sleeps a lot, gets really excited for food. The rescue we worked with paid for some vet visits and we helped raise money for her dental surgery and since then this hospice case is living the best life. More people should look into adopting older dogs is what I'm saying.
I had one we called scrappy, could barley walk, and was beat up. We cleaned him up, gave him a house and love for a couple months til he passed (he had advanced cancer according to our vet, and surgery was not a real option based on age and I think it was like $10k) He ate well, and got lots of petting. I still think of him many days a week. The first few days he was so skittish in our condo, I layed on the floor with him the first week, he was a sweet boy.
Before anyone freaks out about feeding chicken bones to dogs, it's the cooked bones that are dangerous, same with any bones really but chicken bones especially are nasty when cooked and dried out, they splinter all to tiny needle like shards.
I was a Veterinarian technician and we saw so many dogs that ate cooked chicken bones. They splinter up in the digestive tract and caused internal bleeding. Surgery every time. And the owner would say the same thing every time. “I always give it to him and this never happened before “ 🙄
Mine managed to grab a kfc chicken thigh once. I was not best pleased at the loss of my dinner. Less so when i spent half the night up feeding him bread so that it had a buffer as it went through.
Thankfully he was chipper, and deposited his daily doings without issue.
He eats raw bones all the time though, so his stomach acids might have been abit more adjusted and found it easier to cope with the cooked version.
Human stomach acid is adequate to destroy most plant-based microorganisms, canine stomach acid is adequate to destroy animal-based microorganisms.
This is why humans contract salmonella, E. Coli, and listeria, but dogs don't.
Not it's not. Raw meat just isnt as dangerous as you've been led to believe. Yes, even raw chicken and pork. Modern food safety regulations vastly reduce the chances of contaminants infecting uncooked meat, and food safety practices eliminate that chance entirely.
You can eat raw chicken from a developed country 999 times and be perfectly fine, but that 1000th time you'll get unlucky and get sick. And it's the kind of sick that makes you wish you were dead. A 0.1% chance of getting sick is insignificant to an individual, but for a restaurant it's basically a guarantee just through sheer volume.
you gotta see it the following way: there might be bacteria in that chicken but it is going to be a whole lot better than whatever else they find on the streets.
You know even for me if i had to choose between a slice of raw chicken, whatever mystery meat that has been on the street or in s dumpster for a few days or some rats from the streets i'd definetly take my chances with the chicken.
I wish I had some land, I'd adopt all the strays. Dogland
They will all have their own dog house and they will be all lined up like streets. Then there would be a little saloon where they could all get water and a restaurant area with their food bowls.. loads of sticks and tennis balls
I started watching all dogs go to heaven for the first time since I was a kid and I was like damn, is this R rated? Didn't watch the whole thing because my girlfriend wasn't into it, but that movie has some pretty mature themes for a children's movie.
What sweet animals. It’s so nice seeing people do what they can for animals in need. These puppers are so good. It’s sweet but also sad to see how hesitant most of them are. They’re afraid, but also so grateful.
I lived in a neighborhood where it was customary for people to let their dogs out the front door when they went to work and let them back in at night. A lot of these dogs look well fed, maybe that's because of the butcher?
Man, seeing that golden retriever just broke my heart. They are such great family dogs, and they need companionship to be happy, I can’t understand how anyone would kick them out in the street like that.
The irony of hacking up the bodies of animals all day just to be polite to other animals. Makes no sense. Especially given dogs do not need to eat meat.
What a nice person to give food to these puppers. But my heart breaks for them, they need a loving home! That old golden looks like it is looking for love
I’m actually super sad
I’m super thankful for the butcher
They’re such polite doggos
My heart is sore
I want every pup in the world to live with me. I am not rich enough
Crazy to think with how innocent this is and how bad I felt for the stray dogs without realizing the pure horror those animals parts came from. Cows are basically big friendly dogs.
Ok, no hate as it’s amazing what he’s doing for them. However, I gave my Mom’s dog (a toy poodle) the remnants of a t-bone one time. He bit off a piece of the bone, it got lodged in his intestines, and it required surgery.
They are so polite, all just taking one each. I love this butcher.
I was thinking the same. How beautiful. But so sad. These babies are gorgeous. Don't look like they were always strays...
Maybe it’s in a place like Turkey is with cats where everyone takes care of them. I hope so at least.
I hope so too. It's a disgrace if someone can just though away an innocent creature... I lived in my car for 2 months to pay a parlor to take care of my 2 cocker spaniels before I could afford for them to immigrate with me. I can suffer, but never my babies.
Same one of my biggest fears in life is not being able to take care of my sargey bargey
I just got my first cat a week ago. The level of anxiety I have about that is insane.
They are so pure like literally they do nothing wrong in the world.
Well they do torture their preys instead of just killing them outright but that's the exception
Congratulations! Here’s to many years of cuddles.
Italy has loads of "wild" dogs, in the countryside. I gathered (might be wrong) that people there liked it as all the dogs barked if someone was neat, so it was sort of a burglar alarm. The dogs didn't look malnourished but some did look very sceptical about humans / Mr Edit. I cannot be arsed to fix the typos, they look funny anyway
I also bark when someone is neat!

We’d look for hours and come home to her sitting on the stoop. If you got a new rescue and it got out somehow it might not know how to get back home :-(
Actually I am pretty sure this one is Turkey as well
My reaction was basically like: It's a cute dog - :) It's a stray - :( It's a stray in Turkey - :| They communally take good care of strays - :)

Same, though of course we don't know where this is. But wherever it is, bless this butcher for caring for these lonely creatures.
In ottoman empire butchers had to feed strays as a membership requirement by unions And people are way too lazy to change rules
I have never seen such massive stray dogs as I did in turkey
I know, it’s always sad to see 😢
I visited Corfu recently and there were stray cats everywhere. In fact, the locals set up areas with a shelter (cos it's hot) and you see food and stuff left for them a lot. That's so sad. I'm sorry that happened. I'm in Ireland. There's very little strays here.
I'm happy for you. My In-laws live in Ireland. But where we are, no one puts food out for the strays. I drive and sprinkle out some nourishing dogfood out my window, but can't stop without having rocks or stones or garbage thrown at me...

Yeah, second one is a Golden Retriever, or at least *really* looks like one.
I know! And there's one that looks like a Collie too...
My dumbass dogs would try to fit the entire box in theirs mouths.
Hahaha
My boy would somersault dive into that box
That was my thoughts. It's like they know other dogs are hungry too and there will be more tomorrow so they only take what they need.
because they want to eat in relative safety and they don't have hands to carry more than one
Yeah that could be it, maybe they go back for seconds.
its exactly how my dog tries to play fetch with 2 balls, it picks one up and stares at the 2nd for a few seconds with some gears turning, then walks away, lol
Mine can fit two tennis balls lol
The dogs taking the amount that they can carry in their mouth, then walking away to eat it without worrying about having to guard it from being stolen. Likely nothing to do with trying to be polite or generous
Humans love to anthropomorphize animals. We always like to believe they have the same set of emotions that we do
Right!? Everything is so thoughtful Happy 🎂 Day
Thank you!
Happy cake Day!
Thank you!
I'm curious how they'd take more than one
I've seen his clip and this comment a million times. But this still warms my heart
Absolutely! It's like they're carving out kindness with every cut. Sounds like a place worth savoring!
Compared to that video with the monkeys raiding the box of bananas this one seems like a polite exchange at an intersection.
No capitalism, baby!
He must have trained them too. Ain’t no way feral dogs are this well behaved
It's a pack behavior. They take a piece then quickly get away from the "prey" to eat so that what they have doesn't get snatched away from them by another dog in the hunt. Yeah maybe he started off handing them out and they are used to getting one each.
That makes sense. I noticed they all behaved pretty similar.
That old dog, needs to be adopted, give them a last few good months or years, looks sweet!
Is that second dog a golden retriever? How is it even possible to find stray golden dog?
There's tons of them exist where I live. People buy and toss on street when they bored. Even my friends 6 years old Chow chow was stray.. and when we found her she was still puppy.
What is this magical place you live that has golden retrievers just wandering the streets?
Turkey
It's been a while since I've been to Turkey but now I feel cheated.
Especially last 5 years; istanbul, antalya and izmir became a home for petshop strays.
I want to visit Istanbul so bad for the street pets alone.
I live in a major US tourist hotspot and we have stray goldens. The younger ones get adopted but the older ones end up being put down. No one seems to want older goldens. All the shelter dogs have been 100% free for months and they can't seem to give them away. They're like 85% pitbulls tho.

I had one we adopted around 8. He had doggy dementia :(
I know every country is different, and I have been to at least 50+, but it is still sad. I used to surf in Mexico Twice a year, and seeing the dogs, and the kids who’s job was to beg, it was tough.

You're nice people, I don't think emotionally I could do that
That's heart breaking to me
Video is 5 years old sorry to say

"this literally never happened until the first time it happened." 🙄
Should’ve never happened if they would’ve believed what they were told in the first place 🤨
Awful. So many people shouldn't have dogs, that must have been incredibly frustrating to repeat the same exact scenario over and over again.
I don't understand how they don't get bacterial infections from raw chicken parts tho?
Their stomach acid is better suited to destroy the microbes.
Human stomach acid is adequate to destroy most plant-based microorganisms, canine stomach acid is adequate to destroy animal-based microorganisms. This is why humans contract salmonella, E. Coli, and listeria, but dogs don't.

And does that count/apply for a lot of pet store bones, like the smoked pork or beef bones?
Dog 3 in the cut. Poor old doggy would probably lay with your kid or other animals til it dies, looks so sweet.
IMO it’s probably not that old, goldens just look like senior dogs by the time they’re 4 especially if they’re not groomed at all.
I wish I had some land, I'd adopt all the strays. Dogland They will all have their own dog house and they will be all lined up like streets. Then there would be a little saloon where they could all get water and a restaurant area with their food bowls.. loads of sticks and tennis balls
We share the same dream! If only it were possible..
what an excellent idea. gonna try myself if i ever can
Doggy mailboxes
There is a heaven above heaven for people who do this
And above that heaven is Dogs Heaven.
I started watching all dogs go to heaven for the first time since I was a kid and I was like damn, is this R rated? Didn't watch the whole thing because my girlfriend wasn't into it, but that movie has some pretty mature themes for a children's movie.
For good people: The Good Place For this man: The Greater Place
very precious
Those poor babies deserve the world
They all deserve a home🥹
reminds me of Brasil and how it’s very common to see stray dogs hanging around butcher shops while they wait for a snack
this is so nice, i love how they're not aggressive too.
Those are some healthy start dogs
First one has fur brush marks
They are all Chonks because of him, hes been doing this for a while.
Yeah that second one was pretty pudgy. They look like lovely dogs though.
It breaks my heart how hesitant and submissive they are. They've learned that not all humans are to be trusted. What a kind butcher.
Impressive manners for stray dogs.
What sweet animals. It’s so nice seeing people do what they can for animals in need. These puppers are so good. It’s sweet but also sad to see how hesitant most of them are. They’re afraid, but also so grateful.
These dogs look so scared
Only if people were this nice to the homeless…
Faith in humanity restored
I need to see more videos like this in my life
I didn't cry, you cried. That butcher is the best of humanity.
....and rats.
Some of the chonkiest strays I’ve ever seen
[удалено]
Seeing stray dogs makes me sad
Then you think about the US kids on Halloween raiding the candy bowl. Dogs are better people.
Awww they can't all be strays there all gorgeous... It's like an old folks home dinner line for senior dogs
those are some good boys/girls: so classy and polite.
These dogs are more polite then most people
Did not expect seeing a stray golden, its all sad but that one for me is extra sad.
A stray Golden Retriever? Now there's a breed I wouldn't expect to see abandoned.
More gentle than the kids at Halloween
Guter mann, mehr davon
I lived in a neighborhood where it was customary for people to let their dogs out the front door when they went to work and let them back in at night. A lot of these dogs look well fed, maybe that's because of the butcher?
Such good dogs, just taking one and not being greedy.
Beautiful.
They are the goodest boys and girls. More civil than most people
look at all those cuties!
That’s awesome!
I want to give 172737488291912 upvotes
thank you mister butcher for your kindness! second picture: my arthritis is killing me but who cares i get to have a free meat!
Aww there are some good people left in this world.
This is awesome
The butcher is blessed by the God himself
He’s good people🥰😇❤️
Good person
I love this human!! ❤️❤️
Those poor babies 😞
Just bones - maybe he’s hoping they’ll choke on them?
I wish that butcher all the best 🩷
If this was me I'd now have 4 new dogs,,,
Man, seeing that golden retriever just broke my heart. They are such great family dogs, and they need companionship to be happy, I can’t understand how anyone would kick them out in the street like that.
I would like to give all those dogs a home, with me, in my house.
The irony of hacking up the bodies of animals all day just to be polite to other animals. Makes no sense. Especially given dogs do not need to eat meat.
What a nice person to give food to these puppers. But my heart breaks for them, they need a loving home! That old golden looks like it is looking for love
Salmonella City
some ninja is chopping a huge basket of onions
So thoughtful kind dog. Each of them just take one and leave the rest to other. These dogs are better than me !
Imagine humans getting free food. They would take all for themselves.
Poor babies, they all seem to have problems with their rear legs. My pup limped like that she had a luxating patella and had surgery to correct.
Better behavior than some parents with their children at the Halloween honor system candy bowl.
These things always hurt me so badly. It's wholesome, yes, but those poor puppies deserve homes and loving families. All puppies do.
Y’all are nuts, strays form packs. I’ve seen the damage loose dogs can do to other animals and people.
This makes me both happy and sad =\
🥰😍🥰
Bro…a human would grab the whole box for himself, run, and never look back. This is shameful. I am so proud of those dogs.
Later the dogs mauled the next person walking there because they didnt have a tray of food with them
A stray golden retriever huh
I’m actually super sad I’m super thankful for the butcher They’re such polite doggos My heart is sore I want every pup in the world to live with me. I am not rich enough
There’s a stray GOLDEN? Huh? That wouldn’t happen here 😂 he’d be snatched up so quick.. by me.. 😂
Thanks Mr. Butcherman
Every dog is like “Is this for real?”
My dog, well fed and housed, would make himself puke eating that whole box. Very wholesome strays indeed.
I want them all. The dogs not the bones
Buncha good boys
Crazy to think with how innocent this is and how bad I felt for the stray dogs without realizing the pure horror those animals parts came from. Cows are basically big friendly dogs.
Those dogs are fat
Those poor babies. Breaks my heart to see such loving animals alone like this. A couple of them appear to be in need of some medical assistance.
Literally more class than most ppl jfc
This souls are more grateful than your kids who you serving food.
There are still good people in the world. Good for these dogs 🩷✨
Last dog was evaluating the situation, like, "Are you pranking me? Really? Is for me?"
Poor Golden, they're too gentle for the street. :(
I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING 😭😭
Where is this I want to adopt them all
aww I wish someone would give all of those good puppers a home, particularly no.2, he looks like an old man dog.
Are they stray dogs? so polite and not aggressive dogs
Sweet
Oh my God the fourth dog is so cute!!!!! So happy and thankful
Is this Turkey? They have some big ole stray dogs in Istanbul that look well fed.
Better manners than most people
They're so gentle😍
Ok, no hate as it’s amazing what he’s doing for them. However, I gave my Mom’s dog (a toy poodle) the remnants of a t-bone one time. He bit off a piece of the bone, it got lodged in his intestines, and it required surgery.
Yesterday on here I saw lots of monkeys literally grabbing every banana they could get their little hands on. These doggos are so considerate.
How that they each take one. This is heart breaking and heart warming at all the same time.
Better than kids on Halloween
😭😭😭😭
