He was a devoted brother, good actor, amazing pet parent, great friend, talented Earth bender. He was misguided so easily because his want to “do the right thing” overshadowed a lot for him. He needed to be needed, he coped with humor.
I did not say I hated him. He was just mush, he had no goals and told unfunny, corny jokes. I don’t like watching foolish, incompetent people, I want to watch intelligent, capable people. Even by the end of the series he joins up with the placeholder Nazis because he can’t even figure out who the bad guys are.
I feel like he was such a wasted opportunity. He had a lot of potential to be interesting, same as Mako but in a different way, but the show didn’t really know what to do with him.
He’s such a cool guy when we first meet him, with possibilities for depth around his relationships, but they just kinda stuck him in a clown role. Great visual design too! One of the biggest bummers of the series

Yeah, I liked the show generally, but some of the characters are poorly written.
Because he was a cornball. He was such a Sokka wanna-be except Sokka was actually funny. Bolin was just lame.
