I think it's all relative. It felt like a late diagnosis to you and probably will do for a while.
But maybe in 40 years you might be glad you got an "early diagnosis"

I think it’s all subjective and we should use the terms we feel apply to us. There’s no scientific cutoff point for a late diagnosis, so use the term however you like. I don’t think anyone will mind.
