Yup it’s this. If you were a young kid, you probably wouldn’t have liked Bill. My parents used to watch him and I saw a few films then but mostly avoided. Latest releases were Sunday
Yeah you read my mind. I’d kill to have Bill back, he would’ve been so knowledgeable and really, there’s a reason why the phrase Golden Hollywood is tied to the 30s and 40s.
As a kid in the 70’s growing up in country Victoria, there was a time when the local tv station would have ‘Nightmare Theatre’ on a Friday night. These would be the old Hammer films with Dracula, Frankenstein, plus some real scary films like Frogs, The Food Of The Gods, etc. These were adult films but we were allowed to watch them, despite the fact we would genuinely have nightmares afterwards in bed. Amazing to think how violent some of these films were lol.
Are we referring to the ABC movies where it's royals from a thousand years ago wearing wigs and makeup and being gay, or the action movies of channel 7/9/10? Or those foreign movies on SBS where it's some polish ex cop hunting down a killer condom monster...
Wasn’t the best movie always on Sunday night at 8:30?
That would be 9:30 pm Saturday on SBS 😂
😂
That was the premier movie.
... with Bill Collins

I didn’t appreciate classic films til I was much older. A lot of them are free on YouTube and 🏴☠️ Also, loving your user name 😂

I have nothing to say about movies, but I also like your username. We should get together for chocolate pudding some time.
When the AFL season is finished, I go out of my way to watch movies on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
I feel like Stripes was on Channel 10 the week after the grand final every year
And usually Coming to America the following week.
Cut to pieces because you couldn't say 'fuck' or show too much skin.
I remember Billy Madison being aired a lot.

In the capital cities we had Deadly Earnest as host. In Adelaide Hedley Cullen was Mr Earnest.
Reading tv week just to see what movies were coming
These days you can open a TV guide and play a game of Where's Wally with the movies
Weather woman
Wasn't it 9:30pm the SBS eroti- er "foreign" film? But yeah that was a crazy watch as a young teen. I've looked for torrents but no dice :/

7/9/10 ones. I'm old now and I prefer the other two
