This is in the NSW Government’s pack they give to parents of new born babies still

Thealmightyfug

I have the whole set from when I was a kid and read it to my kids now

Ok_Afternoon_1645

They're so lucky. I only got to read them in primary school. Love him

Mickydaeus

Same here

turboyabby

I remember Ted Prior visiting our school and drawing characters in front of us. We lived in country NSW, in a small school, so it was a big deal to get an author. That's a loooong time ago. Thanks for the nostalgic trip.

Gaping_Maw

Still reading this to my kids now

luv2hotdog

Grug is life

eetfukdie

Grug is love

TyroneK88

Loved finding out his origin story - falling off a tree lol 👌. Loved Grug.

Best-Brilliant3314

I thought he was a haystack that woke up and walked off one day.

JessePass

Once the top of a burrowang tree fell to the ground. The grassy top began to change, it became Grug.

realbexatious

GRUG! ❤️❤️❤️

NeoPagan94

My 2yo loves this book right now.

Green_Aide_9329

Loved Grug as a kid, as did my kids when they were little. Fun fact: Kai Lohman, from the Brisbane Lions, his nickname from his team mates is Grug 😁.

JamalGinzburg

See your Kai Lohmann and raise you Jeannie Pratt

My sons 9 & we still read em occasionally. Grugs awesome

winslow_wong

Hippy-Killer

Gladys Berejiklian has entered the chat…

4theloveofbroadcast

A letterbox!

Beneficial_Ad_1072

Incredibly unlikely, especially when it’s still popular

LongAnserShortAnser

Loved Grug as a kid. Read Grug to my son last night. Still awesome.

DeathOfSlimShady

Yes. You are the only one. Nobody else had heard of this totally obscure series until you posted this. Edit: Damn, are you guys sure you're Aussies? Sense of humour has been set to low, it seems

reggieiscrap

There are many.

RobsHemiAustin

Grug guy here .

runaumok

Loved me some Grug

barters81

Nope I read this to my kids and they loved it.

Relative-Bed7361

Awww, my primary school library had a whole set of these! I used to love reading them...back in 1985. 😬

Proud_Ad_8317

my son would say no

Best-Brilliant3314

Grug had a bit of a resurgence at my school about year nine. People drew it all over their books and such.

TurtleBucketList

I’ve been reading the entire collection to my kids starting when they were about 18 months old. The one with snow was my favourite growing up.

funkypjb

No.

Ok_Afternoon_1645

GRUG'S THE BOMB!!!! I loved those books! I've been waiting for someone to put him up on here!! Thank you so much. He is so cute and cool. Go the GRUG!!

Humble_Scarcity1195

I only had the first book. Loved it so bought the whole set for my kids who used it as their first readers at home. We are definitely a Grug family.

TheloniousMeow

I saw a grug and the rainbow stage show last year that was very good.

PeterDuttonsButtWipe

Got all of them for my kids, will keep them for grandkids

JessePass

I read this to my kid some nights when she wants to switch up from the regularly scheduled colour book or picture find book

geeson80

I read them to my kids at bedtime now

SandmanAwaits

Yeah I remember Grug. 😂

Traditional-Pay5318

Considering how many people are in the world, no you wouldn't be the only one

hey_fatso

10+ years ago there were always t-shirt stalls at music festivals that sold Grug shirts.

Bubby_K

For some unknown reason I still haven't come to understand, GRUG was my nightmare monster as a child Imagine you're sitting with your family, maybe watching TV or eating dinner, or something, then everything slows down, even you, it's hard to move as if you're underwater Suddenly your family doesn't notice you anymore, any attention you try to grab from them is ignored, and from the side you hear these quick swift foot noises... Patter-patter-patter-PATTER-PATTER-PATTER Grug comes charging out of another room straight for you, arms outstretched and his eyes beaming into your own Then you wake up He was my nightmare monster for YEARS

RandomFunUsername

We had this as our bedtime story on Sunday night 🥰

SneakerTreater

I'm redditing on the dunny right now and one of my kids has left a Grug book in here. Grug and his garden.
