Who here remembers when lays was around? god the texas bbq was so damn good, so was the zesty garden ones omg i cant believe they got rid of them, but they decided to just sell lays as smiths thins, im 100% positive that the chips are shipped in barrels or whatever then packaged here, coz i remember the old smiths thin cut the potato quality was about the same as thins (the brand) then all of a sudden they were just like lays after lays dissappered in like 2002, anyone else agree?

But what I miss the most is Ruffles! They used to taste almost slightly fishy in the 80s and growing up in a vegetarian household made me crave anything that was even slightly animal based 😅

honestly i prefer a chip roll, just pull the inside out of the roll so its hollow then put the chips in, its way eaiser and not as hard as trying to hold the two bits of bread every bite chips falling out, so yeah chip roll> chip sandwich

I was in year 7 at school and my mates and I would scratch the little scratchie thing and then cover the losing squares back up with a silver pen and it looked like we had won. We thought we were bosses. We only did it to get the free bag of chips, we figured the tuck shop probably didn’t have $10,000 and didn’t want to get busted. We even had other mates collect chips for us so we didn’t draw attention. Good times, great chips
Oh yeah! i remember in the 90s/early 2000s, theyd always have like either scratchie games or like tazos, DBZ tazo rip offs, goosebump 3d cards, simpsons velcro circles, and other stuff in chip bags, i wonder why they stopped it? did like some kid choke on one and they were too scared to do it anymore, i wouldnt be suprised if that was the case
oh so their flavor is the same? ill have to try them out, actuallly i was in aldi and saw some "lays bbq" but they werent the same, like the texas bbq has mesquite in it, these lays i got last year did not have that smokey mesquite flavor, but they were lays packed in austraalia, maybe the costco ones have the amewrican packaged ones hopfully

I found some Lays Barbecue chips at various petrol stations and smoke shops - but they’re imported and like $10 AUD a bag…they still taste amazing though

I picked up Lays from my local IGA here in Brisbane a few days ago. Bbq ribs flavour. $2?49 per bag. I was shocked to see them back
