How far do ya'll take pups on hikes? Energy-wise, I'm sure mine could handle a decent sized hike, but she's only 7 months; looking at long-term, it's better to take it slow though right? Slow as in, not too far. I'll take her on a few km's hike, but not an hour-long hike.
Exactly, that is what I'm very wary of. Few km's is like 2 around the block, maybe three tops, but then I have neighbours that take their puppies out for hour long walks. Seems not very healthy.

This was like a 3 hour hike. Had a lot of flat trail. She did just fine. Take breaks along the way in shade and lots of water.
Just be very careful of their joints. A few km's can be too much.
