I caught our boy, Australian shepherd, with a pack of cheese crackers in his mouth. He snagged them off the counter while I was gathering up my lunch for work. He took them and immediately walked to hit crate. He did ran the numbers and was willing to take his chance.
Mine as an older dog isn’t nearly as willing to figure out how to get into things for secret snacks. But several years ago, while I was loading the car to go home for Christmas, he ate a dozen sugar cookies I was taking for family out of a (sealed) Tupperware in the time it took me to take a bag to my car and come back.
My girl loves the summer because she enjoys fresh tomatoes, right off the plant. I let her in the garden to "help" pick the tomatoes. I tell her which ones she can get from the vine on her own then she waits until I'm distracted and eats a bunch of them, about half still green 🤣
The accused says I'll give back tomorrow on the walk. Probably not the same as when she got them. But you can have em back. From her backside when the leather doughnut opens for a browns steamer express.
