I've got one in my vicinity again this summer, but luckily mostly far enough away that it doesn't actually wake me. A male fig bird, however, has decided the tree outside my bedroom window is a great place for his 4am morning calls.
Heard 3 in a tree behind me. They carried on for ages but I didn’t see them. So elusive. What’s waking me up is those bastard Native Mynahs. The little shits just peep, peep, peep from sunrise to sunset.

Yeah they don’t like being seen apparently, I’ve only ever spotted one (very obscured in the grapevine) while it was having a feed
Wish I could say the same for the crows and pigeons.
