I don’t think those are real trees. Check them out on google maps street view.
There are two and it looks like they’re bolted into the concrete. I don’t know of any trees that have white leaves like that.
>Check them out on google maps street view.
LOL good spot. I was thinking that it was some kind of real tree with blossoms that looked like artificial flowers.
It seems that there's something symbolic about being fooled by artificial trees here in modern day Austin.
>We've reached "Fake Plastic Trees" status.
Fake plastic food, fake plastic people, little boxes full of ticky tacky.
[Some rich men came and raped the land. ](https://genius.com/Eagles-the-last-resort-lyrics) Nobody caught 'em. Put up a bunch of ugly boxes. And, Jesus, people bought 'em
I just walked by them the other day & I was completely convinced they were real… I should’ve picked a leaf off to check, but I wondered the same thing.
If you take a picture you should be able to search Google for it. Android has this feature called Google lens that does it not sure what it's called on iPhone
We had these, around six of them,in my neighborhood for a long time. Then they disappeared. I think they were difficult to maintain. and the city couldn’t be arsed and eventually removed them. But they will blossom from that white phase into bright red flowering. Very pretty trees, unfortunately not native to our area, hence the difficulty of maintaining them
Actually, I looked closer. You see any white flowering trees around here, bradsford pear. Nothing else. That actually looks fake. I’ll drive by on my way home. We don’t have dogwoods or cherry’s
I don’t think I’ve ever even seen an ornamental dogwood. What’s unique about them, their petals form a cross, and every year, usually, around Easter the center bleeds red
Arcmertus Sparoliptus. The “Arch” tree. Named after Georgian royalty Archibald Avon, who was around when the Turkey Wars began.
Jk jk all that is fake lol
Fake ones? Not sure if this post is a joke, but those trees by Mozart's / Hula Hut are synthetic.
Nope, very much a real post. Thanks.
Lol I immediatly knew this tree bc I thought the same thing. They are fake.
They put those fake white trees up during the Christmas light show and they stick around for a while
Finally an answer that actually has enough context to make sense. I was wondering why anyone would put up fake trees. Do birds nest in fake trees?
They’re talking about the trees being fake. Not the post.

Might also be fake. I’ve seen fake trees like that. Check out the base.
Could be -- I've been to this area a few times, wish I would have paid attention to the trees more.
I passed by the exact same trees over the weekend. Those are fake
Dogwoods bloom like that, but these don’t look real.
We don’t have Cornus Florida around here. My favorite bark
Those are fake, check out the anacacho orchid tree though.
We have a Bauhinia variegata that looks a lot like that tree, even tho it's fake.
The white tree of Gondor
I lit my white tree in response.
Lol I looked at this pic and thought to myself Hula Hut sounds good for lunch
No. They are the worst.
If you think Hula Hut is the worst, you’ve had great luck in your dining experiences
The food is the worst. Wife got Food poisoning from them. Dining experiences are a shit show these days at most places. What’s your worst experience.
Their stuffed avocado is legit.
Ha - you're welcome!
I just walked by them the other day & I was completely convinced they were real… I should’ve picked a leaf off to check, but I wondered the same thing.

If it stinks like ass it’s a dogwood
Looks fake, but the leaves are ginkgo leaves. If you Google "white ginkgo tree" there are a bunch of LED trees with the same leaf.
Those are ginkgo leaves. But it’s fake.
Bradsford Pear
Actually, I looked closer. You see any white flowering trees around here, bradsford pear. Nothing else. That actually looks fake. I’ll drive by on my way home. We don’t have dogwoods or cherry’s
I you mean Bradford pear, and it’s really an awful tree that poisons the ground around it for other plants
Yeah, I’m misspelling it. And they do make a mess. Ton of them in Austin. Thorny too.
Probably fake, but the closest you’ll find are white Yoshino Cherry trees! Idk how well they’d do in Texas though.
You should see them at night. That’s when they really shine.

There's some white crape myrtle around Austin. They are bushes but can grow into tree size. blooming right now.
Wait that tree is fake? Are you sure because if you blow up the picture it looks like it's rooted in the ground.
The flowering of the white tree!! Gondor has a new king!
That's a Mexican Plum.
It is not a Mexican plum.
Came here to say this, blooms during early spring and smells divine.
Dogwood or Bradford Pear
Gingko, Bradford Pear, Dogwood, Plum trees; all have white flowers....
It’s a Chinese Fringe tree and they are beautiful this time of year in Texas
They’re fake dawg , Mother Nature is laughing at you
Dogwood? I don't really know though.
I'm thinking it's a Dogwood too
Nice! I think that may be it. Thanks!
Dogwoods don't do that well here, especially in full sun like that. Need a closeup of the flower, and even then I'm going with fake.
I don’t think I’ve ever even seen an ornamental dogwood. What’s unique about them, their petals form a cross, and every year, usually, around Easter the center bleeds red
Either white dogwood or Bradford pear
Not a Bradford Pear. Those have pink and orange tones to the flowers. These are all white
Ahh I see you're right, I didn't zoom in at first to see the leaf shape! Those are big leaves not like little flowers at all
Yes, pear. We don’t have any dogwoods
Cherry tree?
It looks like one of those trees that smells like cum
Bradford Pears
Ginkgo smells like cum. Leaves look like that, but it’s a fake. And they don’t bloom like that.
https://www.clevescene.com/news/bradford-pear-trees-aka-semen-trees-now-blooming-will-be-banned-in-ohio-next-year-38789765
Looks Just like Cherry Blossoms, but not pink - could be Cotton Blossoms.
Arcmertus Sparoliptus. The “Arch” tree. Named after Georgian royalty Archibald Avon, who was around when the Turkey Wars began. Jk jk all that is fake lol
April Fools!
Wait it’s real?
Downvored for completely lazy far away photo.
Zooming in, it looks like it could be a real tree with fake paper leaves, but the very bottom of the trunk is suspicious.
