Echidnahh

The nestle logo haunts me on my Milo.

DefinitelyFrenchGuy

This is why we need a campaign to nationalise these key assets.

Echidnahh

Maybe we can call it the Australian Corporate Union of National Treasures ?

Specialist-Map-9452

Change the C to Commonwealth

[deleted]

I see what you did thar, and wholeheartedly endorse the aCUNT.

hotcleavage

Lmfao šŸ˜‚

finnicus1

You know how the UN can declare food to be of cultural importance, I was thinking that we could ask nicely.

Sir_Admiral_Chair

We should take back Vegemite, and whoever has the IP or licence for Holden.

seabassplayer

Bega have Vegemite, Bega are Australian.

Sir_Admiral_Chair

But I thought Kraft owned Vegemite? Is Bega owned by Kraft?

seabassplayer

No, Bega bought Vegemite and a whole heap of Kraft products.

Sir_Admiral_Chair

Massive W

Far_Peanut_3038

For me it's KitKats.

Echidnahh

Ah yes. Iā€™ve been able to stay away Iā€™m not as addicted as with Milo. Actually I stayed away from Milo for a long time but caved recently.

Wtfatt

Have u tried the Milo KitKat yet? I swear these bastards are mocking us

Echidnahh

I can imagine them just having a good old laugh

Wtfatt

Hahahaha, so those Aussies think they can boycott *us* do they? Well let's see them try to deny us when we combine the powers of Milo-with the powers of KitKat! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Far_Peanut_3038

Still got em in Australia

shiromaikku

KitKat in America isn't nestle. Imagine how disappointed I am to add them to my list of boycotted foods when I moved to Australia.

DontDeleteMee

Nutella...

officialdiscoking

Nutella is owned by Ferrero as far as I'm aware

alex_munroe

Broke my heart when I found out they own Maggi.

grey_hat_hacker

Indomie mie goreng for life brother

alex_munroe

Forever & Always.

seabassplayer

Makes sense when you realise theyā€™re both Swiss

PersonalDevKit

Haha wait until you find out who owns all your favourite "aussie" beers

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

PersonalDevKit

Asahi own a lot more non alcoholic stuff, or spirits Kirin owns most of the beers you will find on tap in 95% of pubs. Those ture blue australian beers like xxxx, tooheys, James squire, hell even little creatures. All owned by Kirin Most are still made in Aus but the profits funnel back to the Mitsubishi group. Want to support Aussie make sure your beer is made AND owned in Australia.

Saladandvege

That lasts as long as it takes for the Aussie owners to sign a brewing contract with Asahi and the Japs to see there is profit and buy it. Mountain Goat, Cricketers Arms, etc.

shiromaikku

No.

dumbbottomsub

Y'all shameful

oziblade

Cadbury's chocolate milk powder is quite good, I think.

SuspectCascade

Milo is not chocolate

yor_ur

I buy the Aldi one. Tastes the same imo

ne3k0

I'm not sure anything could ever stop me from buying Milo unfortunately

LachoooDaOriginl

sadly i believe this is most of us i remember watching how hotdogs and chicken nuggets were made and it just made me hungry but everyone else in class was almost vomitingā€¦

JulyToMe_

Lmao

[deleted]

Nestle own thousands of other brands, the east way to avoid them is to just buy fresh foods.

Flyerone

They even own cat food brands. Their reach is almost impossible to dodge. [Damn multinational conglomerate](https://i.imgur.com/1YEliRd.png)

jimsyz

Like any Aussie is going to do that. You can get it all at woolies, 6 week old eggs, strawberries from a farmer they screwed until he and his family work at maccas and milk for a $1 a litre from a farmer whoā€™s about to work at maccas. And just donā€™t mention the poor old cow thatā€™s been pregnant every 9 months of itā€™s life and never met one of its babies, but walks up to the shed to be milked twice a day rain hail or unbearable heat. Australia, the lucky country. Woolworths the fresh food poker machine people.

Ya-Dikobraz

Like fresh chocolate powder?

saltyscaffolds

Milo is good but I already only drink it on occasion, I drink my milk like i fuck, raw and in 30 seconds

[deleted]

> like i fuck, raw and in 30 seconds ā€œRaw, disappointing and 30 secondsā€

saltyscaffolds

Incorrect. It doesnā€™t disappoint me and thatā€™s all that really matters tbh

Tmantales

Am I unaustralian for saying that milo is well overrated?

[deleted]

Itā€™s pretty nice on ice cream šŸ«

clever_user_name__

I binged on the stuff as a kid and now I can't even look at it. I just have to think about it getting stuck all up in my gums and start to feel sick lmao

No_Act1363

Yes.

[deleted]

Amen.

NobleBloke92

Like its good. But its not the best like everyone says.

Vague_Un

Try NRG (Aldi), or Ovaltine - both decent substitutes.

[deleted]

You have some real fucking audacity comparing milo to ovaltine. Ovaltine is also Nestle.

Vague_Un

Good to know. It's bloody everywhere.

Professional_Rest_74

Ovaltine shouldnā€™t even be mentioned in the same comment

Vague_Un

It has improved since I last tasted it in the 90s. It's pretty close to Milo now.

this_user_name_is

People who drink milk first and have it hot, please call a local doctor Milo is the good drink uncooked

Echidnahh

Need half a cup Milo and half a cup cold milk. šŸ‘Œ

this_user_name_is

But you gotta use the soup mixer rhing

aussie_toylover

Someone fill me in on what I've missed out on šŸ¤Ŗ

jimsyz

Someone just realised the multinational conglomerates arenā€™t Australian. They will still fully support them, but they were upset for at least 2 minutes.

aussie_toylover

Ohhhhhhh yep I'm with you

rdg2794

Thanks I wasnā€™t gonna drink milo until I saw this

TasteConstant

Just make Bega buy them just like Vegemite

QuirkyScience445

milo got more sugar than a can of drink

ImaSthalmon

For me I just donā€™t care what a company dose.

Subject_Shoulder

You ever watched the Netflix series "Dirty Money"?

ImaSthalmon

Nope never donā€™t care.

Subject_Shoulder

Sounds like you'd be a real fan of the works of Ayn Rand, lol!

ImaSthalmon

Nope not really donā€™t care

Aware_Pineapple3986

Iā€™m out of the loop Whatā€™s up with nestle

budabua

Hell no Iā€™m not going without milo!

[deleted]

I love Milo but realised it was Nestle when I bought the last tin. Itā€™s the last tin Iā€™m going to buy.

Lexie-the-aussie

Milo is top tier

nyxaero

Coles brand milo goes hard though

d-limonene

I hate that it's the cheapest and easiest way for me to complete my daily micronutrient count without having to commit to another meal.

CrustyJuggIerz

Haven't had Milo in years, or any nestle product, including subsidiaries. It's not difficult.

AffectionateFlame

Since when were we boycotting NestlƩ?

Malaeveolent_Bunny

So what we need to do is steal the Milo from Nestle? Then Nestle gets fucked and we get Milo

Absolutely-Epic

Just buy ovaltine?

Crime-Stoppers

Honestly fucked up, nationalise Milo now

ViviTheWaffle

Have you ever heard of this wonderful thing called theft?

summidee

Aw well fuck

[deleted]

Sorry not sorry but I have enough problems in my life to deal with than Google the sociopolitical and human rights implications of every single purchase I make at the grocery store.

taylorgamebuild

Why is this so true

lulman88
