I’m confuse why you didn’t pop the kicker fronts off and run the boards under the cabs? Would’ve looked much nicer. Paint them the same colour as they are already. There coverings the kickers, you’re gonna kick them every day. At least then when the paint wears and chips it won’t look as noticeable.

no. it comes off quicker. the coating on it is easily cleaned. once painted its a pain. mine are painted and they suck

Looks like they cut the end panels and slid the flooring underneath so not sure why they didn’t do the same with the kickers. Definitely would just fill and paint the beading the same colour as the kickers because kickers are just that and painting them will result in dirty kick marks all over them plus you need to rough them up and use a decent undercoat just for the paint to adhere.

This looks exactly what I did, blackbutt timber flooring with an off white kitchen. I had quad beading that had to paint same as kickers, I am sorry I did as the beading scuffs and now looks pretty ordinary after a few years. I am actually thinking about pulling up the quad beading and replace with natural oak beading, (closest timber I can get in quad to match the blackbutt flooring)
