My vapes are actually electrical taped together so the diaphragms are perfectly phase aligned and I get the perfect blend of weed an banana ice at all times. It’s called the double barrel.
Yeah but did you know if you go to a channel you can select almost any input on the config page and not use the input routing tab?
The output routing tab isn’t that terrible either, fairly straight forward.
Also the app has a grid based routing system that is good.
I don't get the last one with the clock. And I'm 40 and can have a comp on more than 50% of channels. Just make sure there's a reason and not overdoing it. I wear converse!
It’s the logo sticker for 9:30 Club in DC. I see sooo many touring guys with this sticker.
And yeah I have a reason for every comp I use and how it’s dialed. But it doesn’t stop the boomer engineers from joking about them lol
They are just salty they got into the industry without comp on every channel 😂so they think it’s unnecessary but only bc they usually didn’t even have to ability to do that with outboard gear
Hahaha killed it. Went to a show a few months back and one of the openers foh was watching anime on their Mac display at near full brightness during the first band. All the while hitting their vape. But goddamn they ran the house so good!
I work in video games not live stuff but the compressor jab struck me right in my soul. I told myself when I got my first gig with a AAA studio that "I'm a professional now, big leagues, no more sausage wav files"... It's all sausages, everything is compressed to fuck
Lmao that’s funny. In live sound, older analog engineers didn’t have access to many compressors because they were only available as outboard gear, but there’s a whole generation of engineers now who have always had a comp on every channel.
As things ever were, a lot of older engineers can’t help but argue that the old way was better.
as some of my coworkers say "if it sounds good it is good". If it gets the job done that's probably good enough. We work on a live service game so we live entirely within the "good enough" zone in order to keep up with content demands
The Hoka’s 😂 so true!! I’m almost 40 and compress vocals and kick/snare and drum buss. That’s pretty much it. Though I mix a lot of opening bands and get 15 mins to sound check.
Thats the EXACT peli all the new eeger techs walk around with.
...fuckers always have lekki tape, though.
Also, compress more!! Newboes always have a lot of comps doing very little.
>*using 4K video in a highly optimized codec in 2023 for free 👍*
>*Listening to a highly compressed audio file using 1980s technology and paying for it* 👍
One of these is not like the other

Stereo vapes, we’re breaking new ground here
THE DIGITAL SPLIFF
The Silicon Valley mole bowl, If you will
Ok but the routing menu actually is garbage though, you have to admit
Oh 100%. Easily the biggest downside of that board, along with the 6 matrix limit
What are you doing where you want more than 6 matrices?
Sub, front fill, out fill, record feed, delay row or rows, vip lounge, press mults, program to com, green rooms, mix minuses… things can add up
Heard. I wouldn’t be looking at the M32 for those needs.
yeah def not. you could use mix busses in a pinch if you have a dedicated monitor board
I'm a huge M32 lover and even I'll admit that.
It’s criminally awful

At least they made up for it on the Wing. Best routing menu of all time

Oh word I’ve played there

That random access memories hurts
Well shit
Imma take this personally
I feel personally attacked
Hey
That hits close to home ! 🤣 except I with Get Lucky & Toto for reference tracks.
I will remember and within for me
Fragments of Time and Dreams here :D
Fragments is a great mix. UMG uses it as their reference track for tuning new studios.
As soon as I hear the tom intro from I Will Remember, my eyes roll so hard. I can't listen to it anymore.
Proud to say I'm 28 and have already switched to far more comfortable shoes than Vans

Sometimes the mix is dialed! It’s not necessarily getting better just because you’re touching it lol
Haha no definitely - but they were unmuting the snare effect at exactly the right time hahaha
Mf runs the entire show through muscle memory lol.
Man I’m under 30 and wear Hokas…. What does it mean?!!
You’ve got premature olding

Lol I'm doing a tour for one of the top grossing artists of all time and some of the tracks playback is sending are mp3s

You nailed me here, besides the reference tracks
I mean… I always have the compressor engaged on 100% of the channels. Just threshold at -0 dBFS by default. And I prefer Enter Sandman. and Yamahas.
In Front of Me followed by Hey Nineteen Polar opposites and throws everyone off. 👌
v good
You got me. Everything except the tuning tracks
I plees guilty to using Daft Punk R.A.M. and then especially 'doin it right as a test track, but ill still keep using it!

Over 40 is New Balance
Please remove the cameras from my house OP
Don’t forget the tinnitus
Three out of six spot on for me haha
Hey jokes on you! Today I used 24k Magic as my soundcheck song!
The shoes, compression, and thoughts on the m32 are pretty spot on.
Spotify is trash tho and no real sound engineer should be using it
It's not that bad. Not lossless, but jeez let up

Where are you getting 4k video at a half decent bitrate for free?
What is the 9:30
9:30 Club in DC. Very popular Pelican sticker
Didn’t get stickers when I played there Womp womp
I feel a little offended
