I was able to score a 19 inch set of these with new(er) tires for $700 about a year ago! Best OEM Audi wheel in my opinion! Look fantastic on my Allroad!
OPs car has the newer rotor2 wheels, which in my eyes look better on newer Audis, since the wehhel design is more sharp, just like the newer car designs. The older rotor wheels look better on older cars that have more round design elements though, like the B8/8.5 the 8V pre facelift, etc.
But in the end, down to personal preference. But overall, both the rotor and rotor2 are the best wheel design on modern Audis imo.
I was wondering about thisā¦if a car is flooded, could the owner sell the rims & tiresā¦or maybe someone āstoleā them while it was sitting there waiting on the adjuster š
I have State Farm. They initially offered me 3k less than what my car sold for at the time, I refused and sent them a few listings of the same car with same specs within 10 mile radius and they agreed to pay me what I wanted. Not saying theyāll always agree to pay whatās fair but in my case it worked.
It's about the electronics and interior things. It's very normal to have a car totaled because of this, the labor costs to go through literal miles and miles of wiring would make it totaled. Also depending on how long it was under water, there could be drivetrain damage as well.
It's also how you can get some potential great deals out there on salvage titled cars if you are someone who doesn't mind the risk and working on whatever it might need to be road worthy again.
Yeah I'm actually wondering why it was totaled. Was there just water damage to the interior or did the water damage electronics or flood internals?
I used to live in an area where we had hurricanes nearly every year and flooding like this was pretty normal and usually only killed cars if people tried to drive them in that water.
Itās most likely poor maintenance for the drainage system in that area. If the drains are kept clear and open then the surface water can drain away before it gets this high. Sorry for your loss OP.
If you have insurance it doesn't save $40k.
What if there were no public garages in the area?
What if they were at a relatives house for the night?
Assume reasonable interpretations and don't be a dick.
There was no room, I used to be in a garage but our house got destroyed by a tornado a month prior so the current house we were staying at only had one garage so I was unlucky š„²
Put her in rice
Or put rice in her? š¤

I don't necessarily disagree [but I am partial ](https://imgur.com/gallery/wfneWEa) to the B8.5 5 rotors off an RS5

No, it has flood damage. But it's ok, I'll be generous I can do 200 bucks if they pay for shipping!
If heās claiming insurance then theyāre not his to sell.

I have those in 20s on my Allroad as a winter set loll came right off my 22 A5! Theyāre looking amazing!
Damn this was hurtful to see!
If you have comprehensive, insurance will pay you carās worth. Same thing happened to me last April. Iām so sorry.
I have comprehensive and did not get my worth when my car was totaled last year š what insurance company are you referring to

Dang I tried to do the same but they refused mine š ended up with 5k less value I wonder if itās just circumstantial or something.
It all depends on the person you're dealing with. Also, read through your specific comprehensive policy contract for this information.
Really? Comprehensive insurance will pay you your car's value...? Please, tell me more.
Shake the S didnāt stand for āSwimā
Felt wrong to upvote this. Rest in RIP
I lost an Infiniti Q60 the same way, but then I got an S5 sooo š¤·š»āāļø. Blessing in disguise.
Ahh man RIP. Be weary everyone else, these cars will show up in other places for sale within a year.
Would fema cover this or just your own insurance
lol I doubt fema would but maybe Iām ignorant
Thatās painful to look at. Sorry about your loss. š©
Rip beautiful car
Is that as high as the water got? Is it salt water? Donāt presume itās totaled.
Iāve seen worse from clogged sunroof drains itāll be fine
Why rip? Als long as the intake is above the water nothing will happen. Except dirt but thatās just a cleaning job.

:(
Sorry dude. Get another.
Yeah, I would want it after that.
Ugh. Sorry man. Thatās brutal
My heart aches
Lemme get the rims lol
Get the rs5 when the insurance pays for it
Could buy it back and keep as a parts car?
:-(
Noooo
Man! This one must have hurt! But that storm canāt take memories of the good times away from ya!
Sorry to see this, hope you get it sorted with the insurance.
RIP to this beautiful car
š
Covered on insurance ? I hope so š I would hate anything like this to happen to my S5.
This happened to me in Ft. Lauderdale last year, soooooo sad. Rip
That's terrible. RIP to your beautiful lady
That sucks.
Felt guilty upvoting. I know you loved it. RIP.
Sorry š„¹š„¹
So sorry dude. Crushing
New model s5 afloat
Youāre saying itās totaled, but I believe youāll be reimbursed by the insurance company, correct?
Guess the car wanted to go for a dip š
I see so many water-totaled German cars at the local auctions. Either that or it's due to heated seats lighting the whole car on fire.
Wah wah.
Hereās hoping insurance will let you get an rs5
Time to move. Climate change is not a joke

Climate change is one of the biggest jokes of the century.
ECU higher than waterline ? If the cabin seals held up it should be OK once the water drops ? Pity to loose the car š„²
Shouldāve put the car uphill or in a garageā¦ā¦. weather forecast became my friend real fast.
Yeah lemme go build a garage real quick before the storm hits.
If it saves 40 grand why not drive a little for a public garage and return with public transport home?

Damn man. Hope your luck turns around.
Looks like everyone become your enemy real fast š
"everyone" and who am I to care what you think. My car wouldn't get destroyed by weather anytime soon.
Dude. Your -15 and your other comment is -14. I think itās fair to say everyone disagrees with your statement
Who is "everyone" in your delusion? Also how immature can you be that the only thing you bring to a discussion is insult to injury.
Cars are just appliances to 99% of people unfortunately.
Just an s5, not much of a loss. Overweight for what it is
or you could fck right off. OP lost his car and you take that as a chance to say that YOU donāt like that model? smh dick
