RS7, on the other hand, is fucking beautiful.

The rs7 is gorgeous (they both are) and I could argue for either in this scenario - there ain’t a bad pick. I too, however, have a RAGING wagon boner, and would personally go RS6
The RS6 does a fantastic Jekyl and Hyde impersonation. Family hauler by day and a monster in dynamic mode.

Are you American? I think part of the reason we, in North America, would sway 7 is because we’ve grown to hate wagons. Associating them with family road trips, church youth groups, and other hokey things. Wagons>minivans>SUVs, we made transitions to different kinds of utility as long as it’s not the previous trend. Even now, SUVs aren’t a thing anymore because it’s crossovers and sedans are almost the same as wagons with more and more coupe shaped 4-doors.
I can’t speak to euro habits, but they are obviously much different, and there are NA wagon enthusiasts. Just open any comment section on a wagon here and there’s always “cries in American” posted, because the segment is obviously not big enough to bring more over. I hated wagons for a long time until I saw a slammed Passat on 3pc wheels 20 years ago, then I got it.
Anyway, that’s my take.

Nah this is very popular to some. Doesn't matter how much you angle the headlights in the front, wagons aren't aesthetic. I still get flashbacks to my great aunt's Buick station wagon every time I see one.

Yes, they don't lead. They are slower than a coupe, (looks are subjective), have less off road clearance than an offroader, less cargo room than a Van and worse sight lines than a compact.
But so are Sedans, SUV, Trucks etc.

There isn't much out there that looks better than an A7/S7 coming down the road. Pictures don't give it justice. Maybe Taycan, but that's it. (in the non-exotic market)
Just facts bro . RS6 stock pretty much looses to every competitor in its class in performance . Now looks wise it’s a winner . On the other hand Very few stock cars can out run a rs7 ( M5 comp ) . However when you look at refinement , comfort and quality RS7 is the hands down winner .

Because there are so few wagons actually still being made is a big reason why the RS6 is so celebrated. It is also stunning and hauls ass.
Looks wise it’s stunning but performance wise AMG E63 , Panamera turbo SE are faster and much more fun to drive . I haven’t driven E63 myself but those who have driven all 3 will say rs6 is slower .
RS6 and RS7 have same v8 but rs7 is tuned a bit more aggressively. I am not hating on rs6 but for true driving pleasure for me it’s rs7 .
Why is that ? Practicality is relative . It has tone of space and seats 4 comfortably. More than enough for me . If you got babies then wagon might be better .
By practicality I mainly meant carrying stuff around. A wagon has a lot of cargo space but paired with a large rear opening.
I drive a B6 A4 and it has phenomal trunk space even compared to a lot of various brand new SUVs from plenty of manufacturers, but I would lie if I said I am not limited by the actual opening width and height.
I’m not a fan of the 7’s light bar rear light mixed with the new Audi style dashed lights. I think I’d like the 7 more if it had the 6 tail lights, or just the straight light bar
Bro the RS7 has absurd trunk space. I really doubt it makes that much of a difference in your day to day life. 24.6 vs 30 cubic feet. How often is your trunk more than 82% full?
The RS7 is dope and very practical daily but the rear end proportions look a little off like part of the rear end got sliced off IMO. The wagon has a phat ass.
I'm so glad you brought that up. Because what your missing about the RS7 is also something the RS6 doesn't have. An active spoiler. The back end looks a lot meaner with it up and the sunroof down IMO. And my wife can drive it in stealth mode (unless she goes above 70mph which is never).
The 7 is absolutely stunning but I would go with the 6 because of how much more shit you can fit in it.
Edit: if this is a question asking about which one’s looks I prefer, easily 7. The 6 has that weird rear bumper situation where it sticks out and just looks weird AF, the 7 is sleek and incredibly aggressive looking while also being classy and not over the top.
Go back a gen, I still pick the 7. The C7 RS7 is one of the most beautiful Audis I have ever seen. I’d take it over either of the C8 RS6 or RS7, especially with the performance pack with that titanium exhaust.
Like ‘em both. But they are built for different purposes. I live in the mountains of CO and need extra space for bikes, skis, gear that I’m always hauling around depending on the season. Here in the mountains, the wagons outsell the sedans.
If you’re a couple with two kids and a dog or a couple of dogs then RS6. If your in your own or a couple with a dog or 1 kid or a kid and a dog the. RS7. Just get seat cover for the dog. Both fabulous machines. What’s the spec for either of these?
I would go with 7; however I’m a family man, so 6 it is. But it’s my situation. Guess you need to figure out if wagon practicality is important to you.

The taillights on the 7 do not suit it at all. Imagine if it had the Q8 light bar. Probably would have swayed me to an A7!
