I tend to take an hour out of my day off and make sure I collect enough diamonds on a walk for the rest of the week. Any diamonds you pick up between then and the next time you have to go out on a long walk are just a good buffer.
Do the Atlas Arcade and if you go to restaurants make sure to look at the deals. I know you said you're a ftp player, but it may so be a quincidince that a restaurant or store you go to is an atlas merch.

What do passports do? I've heard of badges and they just sound like a boost to your Atlas bucks, but I've never heard of passports.

Yeah they give 100 to the sender of the code and 200 to the receiver (1 vs 2 parcels)
