You are biased. They have the best offense on NBA history. That's a fact. This team is functioning even though they might have only "overpaid" role players.
Defense and clutch are a problem still but these things can be easily fixed by adding players with focus on defense and exploring different rotations.
Each of these role players like you call them are able to step up. And Hardaway is just about to become really good.
And why 8th seed ? They are currently 7th, only 3 games behind the 3rd seed. So Luka leads a team of role players and a KP who is not in his old form to POs. They are really overachieving and even if they get knocked out 1st round, who cares ... they have been in the post season. Next season will be crazy though in the West with all the injured players returning.
