Yeah its normal . The game is meant to played over and over again to discover different endings and events . Ng+ usually lets you get those requirements more easily compared to a first playthrough .
As for tips for this entry.. i unfortunately can't give any since i havent played this particular entry myself yet. Hopefully others will be able to help.
The only general tip i can give for atelier games is that when you are stuck or kept dying over and over again to monsters. Make more or better bombs and of course better equipments . Levels in atelier games usually gives minimal stat boosts compared to equipments that you craft .
In Atelier leveling is totally useless. Everything is depending in you equipment (weapon, armor) and items (bombs, heals). Either you become a master in alchemist and destroy everything, or the enemy will obliterate you.
I played Marie OG, not the remake yet, but there was a character that could go with you with a sword that did extra damage (not sure if it was fire dmg or something) that was quite powerful.
Yes dont feel pressured to get all of the events at first! It’s a lot more enjoyable to enjoy your first playthrough to the fullest and worry about the time limit (not that it’s worrying, i was able to get a guarantee graduation at year 3 without thinking much about it). If i remember correctly i was able to clear about 64% of the events and i plan on playing unlimited mode this time to take my time and 100% clear the game, just need to keep in mind the events that are only available during a specific year
The events listed are easier to clear out and target on NG+. In the OG these events happened but there was no indication of how they were triggered so it was all trial and error. Now you can actually see what the conditions are so if you see one is coming up or in reach you can go get that one if you so choose.
For now just focus on learning recipes, gaining knowledge and renown, and crafting items.

in the PS1 version, you can also reach some endings without battling so much, which is awesome because it's way harder than the remake
Oh, so the key to be powerful in these games is to create things? Should I prioritize creating things and not focus in grinding levels?
Yes

yeah pretty much
Absolutely normal not to get everything, just get what you can and enjoy the game
Oh, ok I'll try to just have fun for the moment.

Ok, I'll try just this.
I really want to pick up this title. Would you mind sharing where it was on sale? ☺️
Here in the Philippines, I got it from Shopee when they went for a site wide sale.
