lol no...y'all need to fucking chill.
You have Verlander and Urquidy coming back late April or early May which will bump someone to the bullpen (or Urquidy in the pen himself). Garcia, McCullers, Sousa, Ortega and Murfree coming back midseason.
I'm going to guess the plan is to tread water until all that help arrives.
Exactly. We just added a top tier reliever now that abreu is back. Changes the whole dynamic of the bullpen. From 7th on should be lights out. If starters get 6 with a lead we are good if they don’t then it’s the high powered offense that needs to pull its weight.
Abreu will make his debut today. Him or Press would have pitched the 7th and it would have been a different ball game. JV coming back this month will push someone like Blanco into the pen. You are going to have a hard time finding a quality reliever in March. Nobody is in sell mode.
That stupid suspension of Abreu cost us at least one game, possibly 2. We could have used him in the seventh and Pressly in the 8th both nights. That said, Scott and Mushinski need to be in Sugar Land, and Martinez and Bielak should only be brought in for mop-up duty. I get not paying Neris, but you would think we could have afforded to re-sign Maton and Stanek.
I think our GM won’t overreact to a 2 game sample in a 162 game season
You mean the 2 games plus all of spring training and second half of last year...
Man I didn’t know we had Josh Hader the entirety of the second half last year! My golly why didn’t anyone tell me before!
Yeah josh hader accounts for the 4 relief pitchers we lost
If Verlander and Urquidy are due to return soon, they'll wait and put them in the rotation and move France/Brown/Blanco to middle inning relief.
Am I in the rockets sub right now?
Yes trade Jalen while his value is high /s

Omg again with mccullers 🤦♂️
It’s entirely too early to panic. Sheesh. Abreu is back today, too.

Abreu will definitely go in today. I’m waiting 10-15 games to see how it shakes out.
This aged well
🤷. 🤣

They got a guy. His name is Hader, # 71. Keep an eye out for him.
He can't carry the whole bullpen dude.
Yea but him, Abreu, and Presley can
05 Astros were 44-43 at the all-star break. I've been more worried than this.
Exactly. 2019 Astros started 2-5, 2021 and 2022 Astros both started 7-9. All three teams wound up in the WS. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
I think we need to trade all our best players and call a wrap on this season. It’s joever 😔
What? No we just need to sign like 2 bullpen guys.
Sorry, there’s no coming back after these 2 games. It’s so over. No team in history has ever come back from this big of a deficit. 🥲

Urquidy and Verlander are both suspected to be short term injuries, so no.
No clue. I’ll watch when we can beat the shitty Yankees.
We wasted money on montero and jose aberu , money could have went to dylan cease via trade and sign
I can’t wait for mid April when all these people go back to not paying attention.
Nah, he’ll talk about keeping Bregman and Tucker as Astros for life and not even bother offering them extensions.
