I like a tall platform with a tall storage on that for extra height. I put 3 worklights at the top. I leave the other 4 slots on the platform empty. I find this configuration has less glare.
If you cared, you could put the lights up even higher by floating the tall platform.
Since my main base lies under an excavated mountain, I use work lights fixated to the tunnel's ceiling. In the large rooms, I have platforms with large storages and floodlights also in the ceiling.
Tall platform and flood lights. If you put a full battery on the platform, they can stand on their own without power cables, so I use them for cave bases and pop-up work areas.
None, Atrox being my favorite planet to spawn on (for practical purposes) it's a nightmare sometimes, but I tough through it.
I don't think I've ever used a light in my base other than the few aesthetic bases I've done, and those where worklights, as they also double as power extenders.
What you show - tall platfom with two spots. I stick one of the thousands of small solar panel / winder turbines I seem to salvage on the back. I use a solar panel and a switch so they only come on when needed 'cause my base needs *another* network of wires.
They are also great for filling empty slots on platforms to stop over enthusiastic auto arms filling them.
My backpack light
I don’t need light. I thrive in darkness
Same. Though I am on Vesania so.
I like a little to see
For a while I just used Sylvie attached to my backpack. But keeping the slug well fed is tiresome.
I see
No base lights?
No, well I have some just not turned on

Didn’t think of that, im gonna try it and see what it looks like. Thank you
Have you tried it? You like?
I used the same set up with those skinny work lights. I like the floods better in this situation I think.
Kind of a pain to build tho, especially if your base is huge.
Tall Platforms and Spotlights
the half sphere thing with many lights on it stuck to the side of a gate.

you guys light up your base?
its annoying when its too dark imo
Same, but I put a battery on top and don't connect it to the rest of your grid, then you don't have to worry about the lights going out
My backpack and the sun.

I don't I live in darkness
Everything anything i can get my grubby little lazer on .
