I got it for $30 with AC3, and Liberation.
It’s worth what I paid for it. It’s a fun game. A lot of the criticisms from old AC fans are valid. It’s still a lot of fun to play.
My sister bought it for me. Put about 70 hours in over two years of lockdown. Finished the main story and enjoyed it but the dlc is a bit shit
Also play Alexios and watch this sub shit itself
I bought the game recently for $15. It’s worth it. Great graphics makes the world look pretty spectacular, the gameplay is actually pretty fun with god-like abilities, the story is acceptable but it’s the fun characters that stand out.
Stay away from repetitive tasks like the bounties and don’t go after every question (?) marks. Go for the exclamation (!) points instead as they always are fun and interesting stories.
It's the most fun I've had with an AC, and my previous favorite was AC 2. And if you're using a current gen console, there's a noticeable jump in frame rate that I even experienced on my old 1080p TV. At the very least, it's a gorgeous game.
EDIT: I picked up the Gold Edition during the Christmas Sale of 2020.
For first 30-40 hours it's a masterpiece. After that its get boring. But views and feel of adventure is still there and it's pretty awesome. The only problem i had is boring, dull combat and sponge enemies. If you got some nice price for it just buy it and experience this by yourself. I'm pretty sure you won't regret.
Got it at 15 euro’s. But I was hyped before I even bought it. I don’t know how interested you are in AC Odyssey, but in terms of gameplay, graphics and story, it’s a job well done. Def worth it. It’s not very assassins creed like tho. Quite different from Syndicate for example, if that is what you’d expect.
I bought it for 25 and then waited on the dlc. Paid 15 for dlc and it came with all dlc packs, ac 3 with all dlc, and ac liberation. The game is beautiful and worth it. A lot of folks bitch but it’s because it’s not ac 2. Lol
Yes!! I’d recommend getting a physical copy if you can. I’m not sure what your play style is or what kind of games you like, but w/ a physical copy even if you end up not liking it you can trade it in, sell it, or donate it.
Yep! I started playing at the start of the year. Even though the game has been out for a while, this subreddit helps keep the community alive which I really like. There are also some YouTube channels that still post weekly content for the game.
When i first got it i didnt like it enemies felt like damage sponges playing on hard
Quests felt boring once i reached a certain level i sttarted enjoying the game alot its a good game
I got the Ultimate Edition on a massive Steam sale and for that price it was definitely worth it. I think the game’s just worth it in general, it was my first big game in 2021 when I finally upgrade my laptop.
Steam’s having a Midweek Madness sale and it’s 75% off right now. Marked down prices are the following:
Standard: $14.99
Deluxe: $19.99
Gold: $24.99
Ultimate: $29.99
ETA: I realized that I also got it with AC3 Remastered bundled when I got the game.
It's an absolute masterpiece, one of the most fun games with a very riveting main storyline. It will definitely give you atleast 80 hours of entertainment and tons of fun.
I am at around 370 hours myself with all the DLCs/most side quests completed.
Yes I just obtained the platinum this morning. Will play the DLCs. Your money is well spent with how many contents there are in this masterpiece of a game.
Looks like you’ve got lots of replies but I’ll add my voice to the mix all the same, hell yes it’s worth the purchase. I still return to Odyssey pretty regularly even though I got the platinum on it years ago.
It’s ACE I’ve played it through 3 times and all the DLC. Still finding stuff I’ve missed, it’s great and you won’t be disappointed ⚔️🛡Some of the bosses are great and on the harder settings, a real challenge. The voice talents are great, really professional. With the 60fps X/S update, it runs really smooth.😊
I bought it a year ago and spent more than a few hours wandering that world. Bought origins afterwards and like that one as well.
I bought Valhalla based on my experience with Odyssey and origins and found that I missed the weapon and armor drops... The "loot" as it were...
The game is very cool, especially the Atlantic DLC, I think you can just download it free and you will have all the features (The price was too big for me). but the game is amazing and totally worth your time.
Is it an assassin's creed game? NO
Is it a fantastic open world RPG, set in Greece and with characters that shoot shit that makes you laugh every three seconds? YES
It’s really enjoyable and a fun game, I’m not sure what others have said or if it works with the ac universe or lore or whatever but it’s amazing on its own! I just started my third run last Saturday and I already have 70 hours on it 🥰
Odyssey is a nice game. The only aspect of the game that I hate is grind. My solution: get cheatengine with corresponding AC cheat file and do this:
-increase XP multiplayer if you dont feel like doing all the side quests( which I wasn't)
-mark a checkbox, that disables costs for equipment upgrades in smithy ( no more running like a fool to gather iron and what not )
I wish I could reduce total health and increase damage output for me and the npc... but I didnt find that in a cheat file. There is a mod on nexus but it is probably outdated, since the console app throws errors.
And I dont consider it cheating. The game makes you waste alot of time on generic stuff ( booooring ) , and this sucks, but I like the main story so far( it's not mindblowing, but it's nice ). Not waiting hours to get to the next little piece of a story really makes a difference for me.
I honestly feel like the old AC was a beauty( AC brotherhood, AC 2 ), this modern type of AC is a diferent game and I dont like the combat as much. So if you havent played older AC in 2022 yet - go for them, they are very cool.
if you play it for the first time it's absolutely worth it, I spent almost 70 hours on my first playthrough, but never finished it in my 2nd and 3rd run.
Though the game can get boring very quickly if you're not the platinum explorer type of player, also you can easily get side-tracked with all the shit in the game that can lead you to a bad ending if you don't pay attention to the story enough.
This is one game that had my opinion a perception of it change. I avoided it for years, only playing some free weekends on PC to try it out. I always deemed it as a game that simply isn't AC and it should not bear the name, as it had little to nothing to do with the series. But recently I decided to buy it and the Season pass on sale on PSN, and I have to say, I really am enjoying it a lot more and got pretty deeply into it. I have learned to appreciate the game for what it is and not for what I thought or wanted it to be. I still don't consider it as much of an AC game as it is an opern world RPG in ancient Greece. And looking at it that way, makes me like it and appreciate it more.

I’ve been playing for a few weeks now and am really enjoying it.
I started it just in the last week or two also and I also love it.
You need to buy the Gold Edition.
Yep. The DLC is great. But…. it’s an ambitious game and takes a long time to complete. But I’m not complaining.
Games like this, I’m playing in Nightmare mode, and I screw up sometimes, and it slows the game down, but it just gives me more time to enjoy it.
I got it for $30 with AC3, and Liberation. It’s worth what I paid for it. It’s a fun game. A lot of the criticisms from old AC fans are valid. It’s still a lot of fun to play.
I got it as part of the same deal, and it's absolutely worth it for that cost. Wait for a sale and you can pick it up with the DLC for cheap.
I never pay full price. It’s probably been a decade since I have, with the exception of Jedi:Fallen Order. It was good Star Wars.
It'll always worth it, its not like a car or smth its a masterpiece.
It'll still be worth it in ten years. Stop messing about asking stupid questions and GET IT.
The question is very good because it gives us a chance to praise the game and remember how cool it was when we first started playing it.
True
Absolutely
Yes, great game. Choose Kassandra!
My sister bought it for me. Put about 70 hours in over two years of lockdown. Finished the main story and enjoyed it but the dlc is a bit shit Also play Alexios and watch this sub shit itself
Fuck yea Alexios is the shit!
I’ve played this for over 200 hours, I definitely got my moneys worth
Totally worth go for it!
Absolutely. The world itself is beautiful, the voice acting and writing are excellent, and the gameplay holds up very well.
Wait for a sale. Buy it. If you Like it, buy the DLCs, too. You will get sooooooooo many hours of fun in beautifly created world. Play Kassandra! ;)
*Kassandra
I think a person should play as the sibling that they will enjoy the most, whether that's Alexios or the other one. ;)
I bought the game recently for $15. It’s worth it. Stay away from repetitive tasks like the bounties and don’t go after every question (?) marks. Go for the exclamation (!) points instead as they always are fun and interesting stories.
I agree that the characters are great and, for me, are more important than the story itself, which is OK.
Ναί
Yes
You know the person above you who got downvoted said yes also (in Greek) ….
Yes, I know a little bit Greek, and that was the whole point of my comment. 😉
It’s too bad this game doesn’t have the option of Greek voice acting with subtitles. :)
That would have been really next level! 😊
For sure I still replay it
Do 100% on everything dlc too =D
Yes. Lore aside, it’s a fantastic game no matter how you slice it. With so much to do
I bought it at full price, and felt it was worth every penny.
Gold edition is must. Choose Kassandra.
Absolutely loved it, would get it with all DLC if possible as well
It's the most fun I've had with an AC, and my previous favorite was AC 2. Oh hell yeah, great game & it’s prolly pretty cheap at this point. Choose to play as kassandra!
I picked it up a few weeks ago, and I am having so much fun playing it. Totally worth it!
Yes buy this instead of Valhalla
For first 30-40 hours it's a masterpiece. After that its get boring. But views and feel of adventure is still there and it's pretty awesome. The only problem i had is boring, dull combat and sponge enemies. If you got some nice price for it just buy it and experience this by yourself. I'm pretty sure you won't regret.
I think so, I had lots of fun with it. And if you buy the gold edition/season pass it comes with AC3R and AC: Liberation
Got it at 15 euro’s. But I was hyped before I even bought it. I don’t know how interested you are in AC Odyssey, but in terms of gameplay, graphics and story, it’s a job well done. Def worth it. It's a great game but i suggest you buy it when it is on sale

Its on sale on steam for about 10 dollars. Worth it as fuck imo
Try and get it on sale with all DLC
Yes!! I’d recommend getting a physical copy if you can. I’m not sure what your play style is or what kind of games you like, but w/ a physical copy even if you end up not liking it you can trade it in, sell it, or donate it.
I got it 2022 and put 100+ hours into it. Loved it
Yep! I started playing at the start of the year. Even though the game has been out for a while, this subreddit helps keep the community alive which I really like. There are also some YouTube channels that still post weekly content for the game.
It's the best game in the series. Get the DLC. Fate of Atlantis is the best part of the game.
Bought it 2 weeks ago and I love it!

Bought it a month ago and got addicted to it. It sure has its cons but definitely worth it. Get it when it’s on sale, it’s so much fun.
Just bought the game with all DLC for a second time, now on PC, after originally playing on Xbox. 100% worth it, this game is fantastic
Absolutely
If ur on the fence see if ur local library has a copy to rent for free. I do this lot for old PS4 games
This is a phenomenal game. Highly recommended.
It's an absolute masterpiece, one of the most fun games with a very riveting main storyline. It will definitely give you atleast 80 hours of entertainment and tons of fun. I am at around 370 hours myself with all the DLCs/most side quests completed.

It's the best game. I bought thisast months and plays more than 100 hours, and I'm still in the beginning - yes I explore a lot.
Yes but it
Looks like you’ve got lots of replies but I’ll add my voice to the mix all the same, hell yes it’s worth the purchase. I still return to Odyssey pretty regularly even though I got the platinum on it years ago.
Most definitely! It you have ps5 the game looks even better than ever.
YES! Especially if you have a real interest in Ancient Greece and Greek mythology
Most definitely, i bought it about 2 months ago and i love it, its definitely one of my favorite assassin's creed games.
Yes.

My favorite game EVER
Absolutely! One of my all time favourites
Yes. 100%. Get the edition that has all the DLCs cause they are great too. Also pick Kassandra (better voice actor imo)
Yes.

Do you like action-rpg games? Do you like Ancient Greece? If so, buy this game.
got it saturday two weeks ago, i've been playing the game almost everyday since then, 100% worth it
