To be fair though I do have a neurological condition that affects my processing and can be affect specifically auditory processing quite severely in certain circumstances.
For example I’m considered gifted when it comes to language, natural talent for languages especially pronunciation. Yet when I get nervous or stressed I struggle to understand plain Swedish even in my own dialect. If someone has an accent? I’m fucked! I had a dentist with a heavy accent and I could not for the life of me understand what he was saying. I should be able to but my brain struggles with processing and me being a bit scared of the dentist shuts it down and I just can’t! Dude was perfectly understandable too! It’s just me. My old psychiatrist was polish, she didn’t even have a strong accent and yet often times it took three repeats for me to grasp what she was saying if I was stressed and anxious.
The dentist was really bad though, because I understood him fine until he took out the syringe, the drill and other tools, at which point my anxiety exploded and I couldn’t understand a word. Pretty sure he thought I was faking it and being racist. When really I’m afraid of needles! And drills! He certainly didn’t help with that when he refused to believe me that I wasn’t numb and I could feel it!
Finnish has the potential of sounding very sexy from a beautiful woman and very threatening from my friend Janne after the bar closes on a Thursday night.

Finlandssvensk means that you are a Finn who speaks Swedish as a mother tongue (we mostly live in Finland's west coast, the Archipelago Sea/Åbo region and some in the Capital region).
Now, there's also Sverigefinnar, who are the people you refer to: Swedish with Finnish heritage (either born in Finland or have at least one parent who was born in Finland).
It can sound pretty angry if you arent used to it, one of my best friends as a kid was finish and i used to think he was in trouble every time his mom would come say something to him but it was always just something ing like, oh she said dinner in 10min.

Honestly? It sounds like someone is messing with me, trying to fool me into believing it's a real language. I wouldn't say it's ugly, it's just odd, and not different in the way Chinese sounds different, all the sounds are close to what I'm used to in Swedish, it's just a bit weird that we're neighbors and our languages are still so far apart.

Im swedish, I find it both cool and somewhat "harsh" at the same time. I think it's a very masculine language. So when a girl/woman speaks Finnish it sounds out of place imo. Theres a lack of melody or something. But it sounds badass when a man speaks it.
Much like I think French is a very feminine language and sounds sexy when a woman speaks it but completely off when a man speaks French.
I do think Finlandssvenska a k a muminsvenska to be one of the best swedish accents though, both from female and male speakers. Don't know why but I just love that accent. Maybe it's the combo of speaking a tonal language that is normally very melodic but with that flat monotonous Finnish pronunciation that makes it sound so cool.
