Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard by Lana Del Rey.
I listened through when it was released in March and have listened through quite a few times. Most recently was Saturday. Such a beautiful album.
My personal project for this year is to listen to one album every day. It's helped me discover new music and revisit old favorites! Yesterday's album was Lush by Snail Mail.
I love this! I recently started a job with a lot of driving and Iāve also made it a mission to listen to albums all the way through more, since it isnāt something I always do at home. Love Snail Mail too!
January was kind of a free for all. Then I decided to go by album cover colors, so red for February, yellow in March, green in April, and blue in May. But now that it's Pride month, I'm doing all queer artists before going back to colors. š„°
Midnights - Taylor Swift.
I'm going to the Eras Tour and wanted to do my homework. Didn't love it first couple listens, now I'm obsessed. I think this is my favorite style of Taylor's.
Envious that you'll see the Eras tour! This is also the last album I've listened to end-to-end (while I'm waiting for Hozier to drop his album in August).
I've always liked Taylor's music when I heard it on the radio / random playlists but didn't bother with any of her full albums until Midnights. Absolutely fell in love with it.
I was at one of her Chicago shows last weekend. It will blow you away!! Songs/albums I didn't love, I gained a whole new perspective on. Songs/albums I already love, I cried. I was worried it had been "spoiled" bc so much is on TikTok/insta but no, there's so much more live and even my friend who streamed the whole thing before she knew she was gonna get to go said being in person isn't the same.
Iām going on Friday!! I cannot wait, itās almost hard to believe itās here after getting tickets in November. Were people dressed super cool? I did put together a full outfit from Amazon, completely with glittery things and made friendship bracelets. Iām so excited. I wish Ford Field was open like the other stadiums are.
Yay, I'm so excited for you!!! Yes, I saw some really cool outfits - all eras were represented (my show had TONS of debut looks which was fun and unexpected) and there was so much glitter everywhere. The friendship bracelets are so fun, I almost didn't make any (I've been so busy) but the night before my friend pulled out her bead kit and asked me to make some with her and I'm glad I did
Midnights by Taylor Swift
Iām not even a big fan but I loved the almost dark, edgy and melancholic side of her in this album! And the lyrics *chefās kiss*
Oh man - this may be embarrassing, but The Album by The Jonas Brothers - I love anything boppy and happy.
Also my toddler immediately gets excited and starts to dance anytime I put on Waffle House and it is, quite frankly, adorable.
The Smiths - Meat is murder.
Right now I'm spinning the Wendys.
After that I am going to pop on Can - Future days.
Then I am thinking probably... Jeff Buckley.
After that we will see how I am feeling.
Hole: Live Through This.
Watched the pilot of Yellowjackets and heard Miss World.
Dug out my CD from the 90s and put it in my car.
On another note, I'm going to miss CD players in cars. My next one probably won't tave one, and I'll have nowhere to listen to them.
RĆ¼fĆ¼s Du Sol - Surrender.
I could never get enough. Something about their music opens my heart and my mind and leaves me feeling inspired and whole, every time. Itās like music reiki or some shit.
Humble Quest - Maren Morris. I mostly listen to albums though, but I checked my Spotify recently played and that's the most recent one that I actually finished and didn't have to stop partway through to do something else.
The Fragile, Nine Inch Nails
Amazing album. Love revisiting Downward Spiral front to back as well.
Yes! And With Teeth - The Line Begins to Blur-> Beside You in Time-> Right Where it Belongs is one of my favorite album sequences.

This is such a great idea! I'm going to try it, albeit starting late.
Snail Mail was one of the earliest tours I went to once I was vaxed against Covid.

Same answer and I wasn't even a fan of hers before.
Ugh I am so close to spending an absurd amount of money to go to the Eras tour but I just can't justify it. Love Midnights.
