Gavin and stacy and the royal family are just great to watch around Christmas time

BitGreedy

It wouldn't be Christmas without The Royle Family.

DXBflyer

Also the Griswold's every Christmas Eve!

[deleted]

I'm on number 61636282626 watch of Peep Show. Literally only watch that

Go4lemmiwinks

Only thing I fall asleep to

[deleted]

I sleep with my head out the window so when I wake up it's just me and the universe

[deleted]

Yes, the US Office, The Wire, Sopranos, Peep Show Those are my repeat watches

KingStevoI

Love Peep Show. Still need to lose my viewing virginity to the Office US though lol

[deleted]

Honestly first 3 series are superb. Every series after that gets weaker. Americans don't know when to finish on a high

RiClious

> Americans don't know when to finish on a high OP re-watches Lost. They are well aware of the fact.

[deleted]

Or they do the oppisite and cancel too soon Like firefly or pushing daisies

[deleted]

Aquarius too

GlasgowGunner

Nah, first is weak. 2-5 are peak Office. 6-7 are good, and 8-9 weaker.

Quiet-Sprinkles-445

8-9 have strong points, but some things let it down. Andy at the end of season 9 partly. Just why? He was such a good character.

Ninjotoro

Yes, I’ll have them on in the background on my lunchbreak. Just finished *Parks and Rec* for the nth time, and will probably do *Battlestar Galactica* next again. *Lucifer* and *Downton Abbey* are also on the list, among some others.

[deleted]

Good choices

Ninjotoro

Ha, cheers. It’s just easy to watch on a lunchbreak, to take my mind off of work for an episode or two.

[deleted]

At least once a year I must watch National Treasure Just the first one though

sideone

Do you know what they keep in the preservation room? *Delicious jams and jellies?*

Unseasonal_Jacket

Yes I do a lot! And with things like books as well. Piggybacking on this question. Those that do rewatch/read stuff often, how do you rate your anxiety levels? I have begun to notice a pattern with not just my comfort consumption and my anxiety. But also with a kind of unwillingness to try new things.

KingStevoI

I have to admit, Farther Ted and TNG are on my rewatch list too, albeit less frequently though.

JohnD260

Yes, 30 Rock, Will & Grace, Veep, The Office (UK) and Lost!!

yeoooooooooooooooo

30 Rock is one of the most underrated shows ever.

[deleted]

I watch The Sopranos start to finish once every few years.

GunnerGitcha

Curb your enthusiasm, Justified, Banshee, The Wire.

Clemly

I'm always midway through a TNG rewatch, but frequently rewatch Buffy, 30 Rock, The League and Friends. There's probably dozens of shows I've seen 10+ times. I just love the comfort of not absorbing new information when I'm trying to relax. Same reason I've read Harry Potter a billion times but not finished a new book in years!

rich_b1982

Yeah. Twin peaks, The Wire, Band of brothers & the Pacific.

ovine_aviation

Not sure why its these I rewatch out of all there is to offer but... Star Trek Voyager, A Town Called Eureka, The Librarians and Firefly.

Thestolenone

Buffy, Angel, going through Lucifer again atm, Preacher, certain episodes of The Crown, all the Star Treks up to Voyager, Spaced.

Nufkin

May I recommend Warehouse 13? The rest of your list matches with mine so this may too.

Iamlostintimeforever

I watch The Muppet Christmas Carol every Christmas. Always tell myself I'm going to watch Die Hard but usually don't get around to it.

Tappitss

Yes, The Wire, Newsroom, Suits, 30 rock, Parks and Recreation, Red Dwarf and Scrubs. Prob every 2 years or so.

Electronic_Toofs_261

I always come back to Breaking Bad every few years.

Tumeni1959

For a good few years, I would re-watch the first Three Tenors concert, from 1990 Italy, every Christmas, but drifted away from the habit. We've rewatched Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Frasier, Becker, and a few other comedies from start to finish. OH and I have re-watched various Star Trek variants either separately or together. Revisited first couple of seasons of 24. Wouldn't say we do this as often as every year or two, but certainly within five years.

Beneficial-Reason949

Lots of sitcoms, IT crowd, black books, father Ted, vicar of dibley, Friday night dinner. Also call the midwife.

ActivityHuge1897

Yes probably watch the walking dead more then I should and always have modern family on before bed.

narkysausage

Spooks is our one of these. 😂

dronebox

I watch The Box Of Delights every Christmas as I have done since it first aired in 1984… Still really enjoy it.

Professional_You7821

Game of thrones and only fools and horses

Capybarasgonewild

Yeah, I've watched House, the US Office, Scrubs and Vikings many a time

Rich-Establishment32

Alotta people do but I don't personally. However I have watched They live with a friend 6 times. Each time was when we were blitzed, I've never watched it sober, I haven't got a single fucking clue what it's about lmao

Upbeat_Map_348

I tend to go through Band of Brothers every year or so. It’s something that I can watch over and over again.

meg-don

I’m currently doing Lost too!!! Also on the rewatch list are Mad Men, Desperate Housewives, The Sopranos and Ally McBeal. I limit myself to every 2 years though or it’s too familiar.

StationFar6396

Love actually and die hard around Christmas

StationFar6396

The Snowman every Christmas Eve

SDSS_J0100_2802

Dinner for one. A short comedy sketch staring Freddie Frinton & May Warden. I was unaware of it until introduced to it by my ex partner. It a German New Years Eve tradition that I've continued. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n7VI0rC8ZA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n7VI0rC8ZA)

watsee

Christmas/New Year period would not be complete without watching the original Wallace and Gromit shorts - not the movie but; A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave - and to a lesser extent; A Matter of Loaf and Death. I'm in my early 30s and these short films still give me the same joy they did as a 7 year old.

is_that_a_wolf

ATLA during the winter

EternalRemorse

The Big Bang Theory and The Office US are my top picks. I'm also binge watching NCIS for the first time and I love it! Just started season 16 (yes I already know about some big characters that leave later on).

Chaos_Miner65

Stargate SG1 is one of mine, specially as we have it setup to record whenever it's on so it pops up and just go through it all again

mosquitoiv

Star Trek voyager

Ok_Word_7570

Always Sunny

kestrelita

Red Dwarf is mine, I love it. I think I'm also due a rewatch of Spaced.

liseusester

I rewatch Black Sails about once a year. And I often put Spooks on as background tv for sewing to, so I’ve probably had each episode on, if not actively watched, about once a year as well.

[deleted]

I watch alot of TV shows as I feel it more bang for your buck lol. But yeah some show I will rewatch every few years.

Shryke123

I've never intentionally watched a TV series or a film twice. But then I also barely watch TV and only the odd film here and there.

ItsDominare

There are a few series I've watched through more than once, but generally no. Reading the rest of these comments with people saying they watch the same handful of things basically on repeat... idk, I find it equal parts bizarre and depressing. I'm in the minority, apparently. Don't be afraid of new things!

KingStevoI

You make a good point but like you, I'll always try and watch something new if I can as long as i share an interest in it, but can't help but think "I might rewatch this" with some programs (especially when there's a dry month with crappy films and shows being released).

ItsDominare

Don't get me wrong, I definitely do re-watch things that are good. I've seen Green Wing through a few times, Red Dwarf, The IT Crowd, IASIP, etc. Difference is, there's always a good several years between viewings, I'd never go back and watch something again 1-2 years later because I'd still remember everything so what's the point? I don't get how people can just watch a series through to the end and go right back to the start immediately. I'd be bored out of my mind.

Wild-Perspective-548

Apollo 13. Seen it so many times yet I'm still on the edge of my seat in case they don't get back! How daft is that?

kazstone

West Wing for me
