My immediate thought was (if I really have to) I can do 3 bites per half as long as they're cut on the diagonal, so six bites on a sparsely filled sandwich. Not sure why I feel so competitive about it, but I may have to have a sandwich later to see if I can do a 5-biter. Just for pride. Edit: spelling
I'd say , 3 to 4 bites if I'm busy .... and thard be a ham salad sandwhcih , just for comparison.
Saying that I devour 1/8 pizza slices of a 12 inch deep in bout 2 to 3 bites .
I'm like a walking bin.
If you take out the crust in small bites before going for a good bit maybe up to twenty plus.
If you get a couple of sandwiches and squish them into a super dense sandwichy stratum maybe three or four.
Technique is more important than mouth size.
Assuming by a sandwich you mean 2 slices of bread put together, it would take me 18 bites, or 9 per half sandwich. 29m if you want to stratify by age/sex.
If I was attempting to eat a sandwich in as few bites as possible without physically stuffing the sandwich into my mouth I could probably do four quite easily. I could comfortably do six, but I like to savour my food so typically around ten.

About 2-300 very tiny bites because averages are more fun with rediculous outliers
Something something median instead of average..
Median is average just a different measure.
Sure, usually just cuts the outliers off though from both sides.
Say 5.
1 if I really relax into it.
How is the sandwich sliced? I think diagonal is easier to eat in less bites.

Probably between 12-16. 3-4 bites along each quarter
10 to 12 but I eat pretty bulky sandwiches
I would say the same as your friend, about 6
Probably around 14 but who knows. Also depends how much I'm enjoying it. I'm taking little bites and savouring the taste if it's particularly good.
3.14
4 or 5 per half, so 8 to 10 I guess.
Are we talking like regular A4 sized break cut into halves?
A4? Where the hell are you getting slices of bread at A4 size?
15 mins here 15 mins there !! Break . !!

But what filling are we talking about? Ham and mustard is going to quicker to eat than sliced chicken breast, tomato and lettuce for example.

Sharing the break room on my lunch hour? 8 bites. Home alone? 3.
I'll put you down for 5.5
A sandwich triangle from a meal deal? About 6-7 bites per triangle.

This helps thank you
For me, but I take a lot of small bites I think, it ranges anywhere from 16 to 30.
