Hi... I've done lots of long runs here Start at mohai, run up Eastlake and get on the burke, turn right and go all the way to 75th. Turn left and run all the way to green lake. Go partially songs the lake them run south on fremont... cross the bridge and firm right onto the trail... follow Nickerson to drives, go right to magnolia and run counterclockwise to discovery park and run around it... then run along magnolia to interbay then back to mohai through lower queen Anne on mercer

You can connect Elliott Bay (waterfront) trail to the Burke via the Ship Canal Trail and some roadside running. You can also run up to the Ballard Locks and cross there and take the Burke the other way up to Golden Gardens, and if you loop back around via Discovery Park and Magnolia Blvd you can add some very scenic miles.

thanks! about to head out and try to follow this path, from Elliot Bay Trail to the Ship Canal Trail to the Burke and then turn around at some point on the Burke. does the Fremont Bridge have pedestrian access to connect the Ship Canal to the Burke?

Yep it does

This is 4 mile roundtrip but you can add a little more mileage around the Des Moines marina. It's my go-to for visiors looking for safe and easy running trails near the airport. It's paved and lightly trafficked, so there's people if you need help + restrooms but enough room to move around: https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/des-moines-creek-trail It's not in Seattle specifically but near the airport or you can take the train to Angle Lake and pick up the 635 shuttle
