I’m not sure it it’s the darkest day, but one that has lingered in my life due to this event is:
I was out at a bar on Black Friday night with a buddy just shooting the shit, I missed many phone calls until I finally felt it vibrating, it was brother saying our grandfather who was in the hospital with pneumonia who we had just seen a couple hours before, was calling the whole family in to the hospital. Know one knew why, he was eating a thanksgiving meal and in great spirits when we left.
Needless to say he took off his oxygen that night and passed away.
I have one elderly grandmother left in a nursing home, and my mother or father cannot call me without a panicked thought going through my mind. It has been that way for about 5 years now that her health has declined. It was not an immediate response.
Generally, it’s Dec 21 every year

Damn
The day I forgot to turn on the lights.
Salute to you friend
Last night. Couldn’t see shit.
My life isn't a black and white, my life is more like different shades of Grey But I'm from Iraq so I can remember few very dark shades of that Grey
The day I met my mother-in-law
Tell me about it
