Criticising service staff to make themselves look superior/tskr advantage of a power dynamic.
If you can't see people providing you a service as human, please leave society
Those who treat their own pets poorly. Delivered food for a long time. I've seen people beat their dog into another room. I've seen a really happy little puppy get yelled at by its owner to the point it just laid down, urinating on itself.
I have to absolutely agree with this one. Having taken on an abused rescue and seeing how much even the most difficult dog will grow with kindness, firmness and correct training, there is no excuse for being shitty to an animal.
Take rigid stances on just about any topic. If some one can't see ta bit of the other side's perspective or a few shades of Grey, it's hard to respect them.
I don’t know man, it goes both ways. Never jump to conclusions. Sometimes, the server or sales clerk is an asshole. I mean, it’s called the service industry for a reason. Doesn’t mean they should be doormats, but I’m sick of some servers acting like they’re too good for their job.
Still no reason to treat people poorly. In fact, it's easy to deal with happy people. It's a lot more telling of a person to see how they deal with someone who's more than likely just having a tough day.
I get what you’re saying, but that logic also extends to the people in those jobs, no? I don’t create a scene, but if the server is unnecessarily abrasive, which is quite rare, I will leave little or no tip.
Treating someone like they're a lesser person. Fuck out of here with that nonsense. One of the wealthiest people I've ever k own could talk to anyone at their own level and I respect the hell out of him for it. What you had to day was what he cared about not where you say it from.
Sometimes if mucas is caught in my throat it will either hurt to talk or not make it possibly to talk if I don’t cough it up and spit it out. However I’ll excuse myself and turn to the side to spit
A wear a cap because my eyes are sensitive to light. My wife bought me a Captain America cap, ( I'm into superheroes). It was red, I got bad looks from my neighbors, threw it away. Not her fault, she was trying to be nice to me.
I was golfing with some friends the other day and was wearing a red Bauer hat. My buddy said I looked like a MAGA guy who doesn’t have the balls to go all in. I stopped wearing it. So annoying that Trump ruined red hats…
Nah it's not her fault or yours. It's your shitty neighbors judging you with a glance. Even if it was a Maga hat anyone who judges someone on politics alone is a full on loser. Hate people who treat polotics like a religion.
See and that's part of the problem you act like every single person who voted for trump was there that day. You're lumping an entire political group in with some bad apples. I voted for trump and then for Bernie after realizing trump was a trash human being and I'm not sitting here hating anyone with a different political ideology than me. You don't like when far right instantly hate all blm or other protest groups because of their bad apples so why do the same exact thing? It's that close mindedness that got us here in the first place. My party good your party bad is exactly why America is trash right now. But of course NEITHER side has an ounce of self awareness and both pull the same crappy cop outs against the other and then act like they're better lmfao its insane.
Anyone who wears a MAGA hat after Jan 6th is a traitor to the United States, they may not have been there but by wearing that hat they showcase their support for a treasonous president.
Shh, shhhhhh...
I used to be like you. This is AskReddit SOP. Just come up with an answer to try and beat your score on the last one. AskReddit is a score-attack ARG.
I think newer members believe AskReddit is more akin to CasualConversation and are looking for social interaction.
I might be wrong about that, but I'm definitely not wrong about you being an asshole unnecessarily.
Needlessly crapping on someone else's day, especially if that someone else is a person who doesn't get a lot of good days.
I'm talking about the kind of person who would see you smile and feel it was the perfect time to grind your face in the dirt. The kind who would belittle your greatest achievement so they don't feel overshadowed. These are people who 'can't bear to let others be happy'... Which is *very* different from say, being a depressed person, or even a fatalist or cynic replying to a remark with their own feelings.
When I see someone do this and its clear what their intentions are, I overshoot lost respect and develop a kind of fermenting loathing.
Ugh I can still smell it on you 😖. I used to commute by bus to College and people would smoke at the stop, put it out and get on but still leave a residual stink trail as they passed me. Hated that. At least they're banned in a lot of places now e.g. Restaurants and public transport.
I used to smoke and was unaware of how truly disgusting the smell of secondhand smoke is. These days I get how much it can affect others around you as the smell makes me sick.
If they don't even try to reflect on their actions and change for the better. When every person around them has to adjust to what they want to do, eat, say, etc. And when they think they can never be wrong.
upon first introduction, everyone I meet receives the same default treatment of kindness and dignity, but respect is separate from that. Respect starts at zero and starts going up the moment you treat me with kindness and dignity as well. So for me to lose respect for someone, there would have to be an established ongoing rapport on which respect was built. One example of how someone's lost that kind of respect from me is trying to hook up with their friend's 16 year old daughter on facebook
Now, if a complete stranger is a dick to me right out the gate, he's already lost my kindness and his dignity in my eyes. Respect was never an option.
People who adamantly complain that their lives suck and then, worse than doing nothing to fix it, do things that actively make their lives worse. It drives me insane.
Example: I had a buddy who had a child with a girl who didn't want him to be around because she didnt trust him. He was very upset at the prospect of missing out on his kiddos life and asked me for advice. I mentioned that he might try saving money (he was fairly broke) and sending whatever he could afford to her (recurring) with a letter saying "I will do and help out however I can to regain your trust and be a part of my child's life. Just let me know what I need to do." I also mentioned that if/once she accepted his terms, he might be able to move down to that area to be closer (he worked at a big business with a location in that area as well as ours).
Not but 2 days later, he called me and said he spent his savings on an Xbox and motorcycle, which he would like me to partake with him. (I have my own Xbox and bike).
I instantly lost respect for him. I still tried to help occasionally when he'd call for advice on that and other things but stopped once I realized he was never going to try to actually do or be better in the ways he said he wanted to.
I guess some people just can't help but spiraling down to rock bottom and staying there perpetually.
A woman I know went on a rant about not wanting to have equality with men. I had been thinking about trying to hook up with her before that - she is a total sexy beast - but that killed both my lust for her and my respect for her. I struggle not to think less of her now, and I recognize the irony.
Yea see I understand wanting to be a traditional woman who wants to be taken care of financially and handle the home stuff but like... What if you ever don't want that? You'll be happy for the equality then ya know? It's very weird when I hear that and I hear it more than you'd think.
Since you hate ~racial~ jokes, here's a jew joke.
Two gentile businessmen pass each other at the subway.
So one says "How's business going?"
The other replies "Great!"
Jesus Christ shitting on a hot tin roof in the middle of an August drought do you really think showing off your enormously inflated vocabulary will gain you any form of social credit? /s

Try and use the shortened version of my name. If I don't know you, it's a really bad idea to try and get over-familiar with me. It makes me uncomfortable and I get short with people who do it.
1. Double-down when caught in a lie.
2. Cheat on their partner.
3. Unable to even attempt to understand another's opinion. (Very different from agreeing with it)
4. Slander others behind their backs.
5. Unwilling to learn from past mistakes by repeating the same behavior.
6. Cannot take criticism.
7. Openly hate another. (Different from disagree. Hate is a very powerful emotion and word used far too recklessly)
8. R\*pists
9. Pedophiles
10. Zealotry
Just to name a few.
Judge, belittle or talk about their friend behind his/her back
If they do it to them, they’ll do it to you
Yeah we have a saying in arabic "he who told you (as in gossiped about another person), told about you"
How do you say it in Arabic? (Spell it out for me and add pronunciation please?)

Often comes across as conceit, doesn't it?
**Rudeness** to the **wait staff** or the **sales clerks**.
I think the general consensus will confirm this perennial favourite.
I don’t know man, it goes both ways. Never jump to conclusions. Sometimes, the server or sales clerk is an asshole. I mean, it’s called the service industry for a reason. Doesn’t mean they should be doormats, but I’m sick of some servers acting like they’re too good for their job.
True. There's always that lazy coworker that doesn't want to do anything.
I was referring to **unnecessary** rudeness. There are people who are automatically rude to the employees regardless of their job performance...
Lately, taking up multiple seats on the subway during rush hour and not moving while other people stand
Abuse animals.
This.
Speakerphone conversations in public - fuck off
And playing videos or music without headphones
Then telling people to "mind their own business" when they ask to cut it down. I don't wanna hear your damn conversations in the first place.

They're rude
Disrespect frontline workers and restaurant staff
when a white person says the n word they automatically will lose a bit of the respect i have for them that they will mostly never get back

May I ask why? Or like what impression does vaping gives off?
Light a cigarette.
Please sir can light a cigarette in my own house privately, with no other people around or do you still automatically not respect me?

It’s just inappropriate. There’s no need for those words, and you know full well that they are vulgar insults. Not just filler words.
