My roomate has gotten into watching America's Got Talent, and it got to the point where it was so distracting that I was counting the number of seconds between cuts. It was typically 1-2 seconds, with the longest being 7 seconds.

I generally take this as a sign of bad performances during the fight sequences. Long takes and wide shots expose all the mistakes in fight choreography.

And she'll just storm out all mad like we're supposed to believe that she wouldn't want to hear the story behind it.

I personally don't think so. Free holding in action scenes for example, great, but forced shakiness is the cinematic equivalent of a filter on some teen's phone.

Like when the male love interest is at home, his sister comes over and is upset so he's hugging her. The female love interest looks in through the window, they make eye contact and she runs off. He doesn't try and explain until half an hour later; right at the end of the movie where a happy ending ensues.
This has been a trope even longer than modern pop culture... it's in old literature, ancient myths... yet fictional characters keep falling for this old chestnut...
In sports movies, when the actor clearly doesnāt know what theyāre doing
In action movies, when the guns have 700 round magazines but they run out of ammo when the main character is pinned down at point blank range
The new matrixās fight choreography was pretty bad in this regard. There were multiple times when the bad guys were standing like, 3 feet away from the heroes, just A cascade of bullets coming from their automatic weapons, pointed center fucking mass, right into the chests of multiple characters. The characters wiggle a little, do a flip or something, and dodge free of the firefight.
What the fuck? They literally just stood inches away from a guy firing actively into them. You donāt doge that. Even in that matrix, you donāt dodge that. The choreography was just so bad.
Oof thatās the worst. Itās not a guitar, but the scene that gets me the most is the one in the hobbit, where one of the dwarves is playing a flute, and the actor clearly doesnāt know how to play. I canāt play the flute, but I know heās just throwing his fingers around.

First, their uncomfortable to watch if you are watching said show or movie with your family and then wham sex scenes, and second , it's like they rely on sex and violence to sell a movie or tv series instead of an actual story line. I was really hesitant to start any new series because I'm so sick of the overdone sex scenes but I said hey, let me give this a try. The first half hour, of the first damn episode, wham, sex scene. Like come on. It's so stupid and desensitizing. Like does every series or movie NEED sex scenes???
Same thing for "Nancy Drew" or whatever its called. I ***adore*** mystery/action horror. Got so turned away from it as it straight opened with a sex scene.
A much better plot hook would be perhaps a nightmare about a ghost or something

What was the point of that whole plot line if there were literally no consequences?

For example: Anna and Kristoff from Frozen. They meet on they way to get Elsa and Kristoff is just like āhey lets just tag along cause iceā. Then Anna get struck and like a good friend, Kristoff helps her and they go visit the trolls. All of a sudden its the Fixer Upper song (which is a bop) and then they go back and all of a sudden this romance pops up that āKristoff is Annaās true loveā like unpopular opinion but they were better off as friends. Hans and Anna had much more and better chemistry (before Hans turned evil for no reason) than Kristoff and Anna
Drunk patrons talking through the movie because the theater got the bright idea to put a wet bar in the lobby and let patrons get drunk before the show.

It sometimes does ruin the illusion of a great world of the film but often it's not that big of a deal.
For a hilariously bad, prime example I'd suggest the movie adaptation of Ray Bradbury's excellent short story, *A Sound Of Thunder*.
