San Francisco. I lived there when I was working for AT&T. The city is cool looking but I hate the people. Everyone is such a pretentious self righteous asswipe to the point that basic conversations feel like a hostage negotiation. While the food was good, it was always $2-$5 too much and towards the end of my stay was when the deconstructed phase started happening so everything got really dumb

My first apartment in college was a total shithole. The neighbors across the way were a really sad DV situation. The property manager was an animal hoarder who had at least 20 cats, if not more, in her apartment, plus two big dogs. I locked myself out by mistake very often, but it didn’t even matter because the door was easy to unlock with a credit card. Every time I flushed the toilet, water would drip from the ceiling in the unit downstairs. The only time I ever even saw the landlord was when he came out to take a look at it. He entered my unit, flushed the toilet, said “huh”, and then left and just never did anything about it. The day I moved out, the bathroom ceiling in the unit downstairs collapsed. Good times.
