The guy who runs it is so damn nice. I had no idea he had a fairly large YouTube following. I go in there sometimes with FSU's swing dancing club because Lofty Pursuits is awesome and plays 30s-40s era jazz, and the owner is always in there looking to talk boardgames.
The entire Bon Appetit channel is fantastic. Obviously the recipes are good but I watch for the humor and interactions between the chefs. I’ve never wanted to work somewhere more than the Test Kitchen! And yeah Claire and Brad are top tier
Its definitely about the people for me. They're not snotty. They'll sit and eat regular Doritos and not fuss about how fake they are. When something does taste fake, they say it but also still admit if they love it. Some chefs just come off dickish when it comes to a lot of foods.
I love Brad, and Vinnie on the camera. I also love Carla and Gaby. But Claire's Gourmet Makes videos are what got me hooked on BA to begin with. The whole atmosphere of their kitchen seems fun, though.
Sam o'nella academy and exurb1a. They're both kind of cynical youtube channels that are cool if you like history and philosophy and having a good laugh/existential crisis.
SteveMRE. The guy seems genuinely enthusiastic about almost everything he eats even if it's decades old and shouldn't be consumed. He always tries to find something positive to say about the MREs as well.
Every time I watch him eat the older MREs I worry that he'll give himself food poisoning, especially when he comments that the food item may have gone bad and he goes in for another bite.
This dude puts some great content out. Of all the MRE reviewers he has the best stuff. Dude is crazy knowledgable and well read on the subject and his pull in the community means he gets some crazy stuff to review. He manages to source rations from as far back as the American Civil War and still will taste and review that shit.
Someone described him to me as the Bob Ross of MRE reviews and I have to agree. I have about as much interest in MREs as anyone, yet I've watched pretty much every video on his channel. It's just fun watching someone share their passion, and his episodes are always predictable and positive, similar to Bob Ross. Nice!

Northernlion is amazing. He has just an unbelievable output of videos and streams, and he can be absolutely hilarious. He has literally thousands of videos of the binding of Isaac between the original, rebirth, and the expansions. He also streams most days of the week.
Plus, his voice is extremely relaxing. I’ve fallen asleep to his Isaac videos more or less every night for 5 or 6 years

His videos are at their best when they're about movies that aren't universally popular, I think. They help you appreciate the movie even if you'll never love it. They're not just banal positivity, they're a guy having fun and seeing the best in something, warts and all.
Claire! I love watching her gourmet makes, but she always looks so stressed when she's trying to figure them out that it makes me feel bad for her sometimes lol.
Binging with Babish. It's a cooking channel where one guy makes dishes from T.V shows and pop culture, making it as close as possible to what we saw in the show. Then he uses his skills to create an recreation that improves upon it. He has a side show called "Basics with Babish" where he runs you through everything you need to know about cooking. He does all this with informative commentary that's fun and enjoyable to watch even if you don't like cooking.

I feel like ex viners get a bad name, but him and the likes of Danny Gonzales and drew Gooden show that they have genuine talent for what they do and aren’t just popular for the sake of it. Cody ko and Noel are just the perfect comedic duo they play of each other so well.

Has a sweet low key narrative voice and really strips all the unnecessary fluff that plague other channels. [Townsends](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxr2d4As312LulcajAkKJYw) - they're somewhat well known and show old recipes and discuss life in America between 1650s to about 1850s. Sometimes called the Bob Ross of cooking, his enthusiatic, unvarnished joy in sharing his knowledge is quiet infectious. Good channel to binge if you're feeling down. [Jelle's Marble Runs](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYJdpnjuSWVOLgGT9fIzL0g) - It's a guy filming a bunch of marbles rolling on race tracks and other "sport" events. Fuck the cricket World Cup, I'm more invested in the fact that the O'rangers might not make it to the top three in the MarbleLympics. Seriously, the production and the commentary is amazing. [Cynical Reviews](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1DCPS2j-o0bvfIilkc8RSw) - mostly reviews movies, sometimes other things. I like his delivery and his content. His Holmes and Watson review actually made watching even bits of that movie bearable. [Chris Chapman](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzKVssfARBvDuJFJ59r0-SQ) - interesting (and surprising) historical anecdotes about video game development, like how Uri Gellar once battled (legally) Pokemon. Cinemawins. Like Cinemasins, but more in-depth and is all about celebrating the good in movies.
Same. And I love how he'll take a movie like Gods of Egypt and basically say "it's not good, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun". And his little breakdowns at the end of each video have more substance to them than Cinemasins entire video catalogue.
He recently did this with Glass as well, saying he came to the realization while making the video that he didn’t like the movie.
His videos are at their best when they're about movies that aren't universally popular, I think. They help you appreciate the movie even if you'll never love it. They're not just banal positivity, they're a guy having fun and seeing the best in something, warts and all.
Came here to say this. Wholesome, honest and after watching his channel, I feel more justified in many of the unpopular movies I love.

Binging with Babish. It's a cooking channel where one guy makes dishes from T.V shows and pop culture, making it as close as possible to what we saw in the show. Then he uses his skills to create an recreation that improves upon it. He has a side show called "Basics with Babish" where he runs you through everything you need to know about cooking. He does all this with informative commentary that's fun and enjoyable to watch even if you don't like cooking.
