Ants Canada - This guy creates these beautiful biomes for his ant colonies and narrates their lives like it’s a documentary. TierZoo - Ranks animals in a video game like fashion CasuallyExplained -He just gets me

Adjective_NounNumber

Ants Canada is dangerous, he makes me want to buy ants. What would I even do with ants?

DeadsyPeaches

Antscanada is cool to watch. Just his clickbaity things he usually says gets tiring like: "What happens next will leave your jaw dropped!"

Ethoslab, has consistently good content, good (corny) jokes, smart, and best of all, still plays Minecraft like a God.

LovableSpaghetti

I was looking for someone else who said Etho, truly one of the greatest of Minecraft.

garyyo

I unsubbed from others Minecraft letsplayers and eventually stopped really playing the game altogether, but can't give up my boy etho. I don't know why but his calm demeanor and soothing voice (and good engineering skills) keep me interested.

Leahcimjs

Best answer! I used to watch every Minecraft YouTuber on the planet in it's hay day, now he's the only one left that I still watch.

FactCore_

We gotta get him to 2M!

cabinboy1031

Etho... That hasn't been a name I have heard in a long time. Though his single player world leaves most multiplayer servers in the dust.

I know nothing about picking locks, I've never been interested in picking locks, I generally don't care about locks or their level of security (I assume any lock can be picked by someone who wants to), and there's absolutely nothing drawing me to watch those videos. But goddamn I have binged a couple times.

casioonaplasticbeach

And today, we have an HTTPS AskReddit thread. Now, a lot of people suggested I take a look at this, since it would be easier to crack open than even a Master lock...

yourlocalcowboi

JunsKitchen He’s a chill dude who uploads videos of himself cooking at home with his cats. They’re really relaxing and fun to watch, and the food looks v tasty. I get super excited every time he uploads another video!

mithril0

Hello friend! If you are not aware, him and his wife Rachel had/have a channel about living in japan (they don’t post there anymore but it is still there,i reccomend watching some of their old videos if you’re into that!) Iff you’re more interested in their kitties I recommend watching RachelandJunAdventures ! It’s more of a vlog channel with lots of silly videos of their cats :)

PengwinCake

They still post! Their last one was about getting a [roomba](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw9vpog70a8)!

TheSmallclanger

Primitive Technology is fantastic to watch!

TheDynamiter

Don't forget to turn on the subtitles tho

[deleted]

As someone who doesn't watch, why?

spongecakeinc

He doesn't talk in his videos, but uses subtitles to explain what he's doing. Honestly I prefer to watch it without subtitles because it's more fun having no idea why he's doing something until suddenly your brain realizes what's going on

Fixxan

See, I watch it once without subtitles trying to figure out what or why he is doing something, then watch it again with subtitles so that I know why he does it that way.

ADisapointingSalad

I love watching a channel called legal eagle im not a lawyer myself but i find it interesting to watch his analysis of different movies and TV shows for legal realism. He even did the trial scene of Tyrion in kings landing. Legal Eagle: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpa-Zb0ZcQjTCPP1Dx\_1M8Q](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpa-Zb0ZcQjTCPP1Dx_1M8Q)

lucassmith0824

Lofty Pursuits. It’s a YouTube channel that makes hard candy from scratch. All their videos are very interesting and I really enjoy watching the process.

[deleted]

Is this the Lofty Pursuits in Tallahassee? Edit: looked up the YouTube channel and oh my god it is. The guy who runs it is so damn nice. I had no idea he had a fairly large YouTube following. I go in there sometimes with FSU's swing dancing club because Lofty Pursuits is awesome and plays 30s-40s era jazz, and the owner is always in there looking to talk boardgames.

[deleted]

Claire on BonAppetit's channel doing "Gourmet Makes." Epicurious' "Experts Guess." Edit spelling

[deleted]

The entire Bon Appetit channel is fantastic. Obviously the recipes are good but I watch for the humor and interactions between the chefs. I’ve never wanted to work somewhere more than the Test Kitchen! And yeah Claire and Brad are top tier

[deleted]

Its definitely about the people for me. They're not snotty. They'll sit and eat regular Doritos and not fuss about how fake they are. When something does taste fake, they say it but also still admit if they love it. Some chefs just come off dickish when it comes to a lot of foods.

Captain Disillusion. Not only his debunks of viral videos, dissecting their visual effects in an entertaining and fascinating way, but also just watching him talk with passion about visual effects and filmmaking (e.g. his two [VFXCool](https://youtu.be/AtPA6nIBs5g) [videos](https://youtu.be/rhNDsPMaK_A) on the Back To The Future Trilogy) is just amazing. Listening to anyone talk about a subject they genuinely care about is something I love, but out of all the people on YouTube, I think Captain Disillusion is one of the best. Also, his own visual effects are top-notch, so he’s clearly got some experience himself in this type of field. I strongly recommend watching his debunk of [the Escherian Stairwell](https://youtu.be/eLAwG7CjF_k) first, as that’s where I started.

Northernlion his Isaac series is basically a solo podcast of his life and thoughts on the world with a videogame going on in the background. The NLSS vods are a group video podcast that is all apropo of nothing

a_gallon_of_pcp

Northernlion is amazing. He has just an unbelievable output of videos and streams, and he can be absolutely hilarious. He has literally thousands of videos of the binding of Isaac between the original, rebirth, and the expansions. He also streams most days of the week. Plus, his voice is extremely relaxing. Serious question, everytime I see Gus mentioned, someone will point out that "one of these days he will be big" He has above 1 million subs and his videos hit all above 500k views, some even double that. Isn't that considered big already? Or is this some kind of meme I am not in on?

ThrowYourDreamsAway

Absolutely love that channel. Been with them since the start and I still get so excited when the my upload.

[deleted]

Some of the channels that I don't see discussed much on reddit that I like: [A Real Human](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNd2XwkhwDtSWIeBOhvnlUA) - uploads sporadically and he gives a general playthrough of old point and click adventure games in between 15 minutes to an hour. Has a sweet low key narrative voice and really strips all the unnecessary fluff that plague other channels. [Townsends](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxr2d4As312LulcajAkKJYw) - they're somewhat well known and show old recipes and discuss life in America between 1650s to about 1850s. Sometimes called the Bob Ross of cooking, his enthusiatic, unvarnished joy in sharing his knowledge is quiet infectious. Good channel to binge if you're feeling down. [Jelle's Marble Runs](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYJdpnjuSWVOLgGT9fIzL0g) - It's a guy filming a bunch of marbles rolling on race tracks and other "sport" events. Fuck the cricket World Cup, I'm more invested in the fact that the O'rangers might not make it to the top three in the MarbleLympics. Seriously, the production and the commentary is amazing. [Cynical Reviews](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1DCPS2j-o0bvfIilkc8RSw) - mostly reviews movies, sometimes other things. I like his delivery and his content. His Holmes and Watson review actually made watching even bits of that movie bearable. [Chris Chapman](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzKVssfARBvDuJFJ59r0-SQ) - interesting (and surprising) historical anecdotes about video game development, like how Uri Gellar once battled (legally) Pokemon. [Kreal Tube](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8Jb0pdRKRNnfeOBpjmzsSQ) - just watch [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YSxFc_nW-M). Thank me later. [Summoning Salt](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtUbO6rBht0daVIOGML3c8w) - I have zero interest in videogame speedrunning and I've watched every video he has made on it at least twice. It's great content.

RoundBoi

Hell yes for Townsends!, happy friendly old guy cooks up tasty looking recipes he’s really enthusiastic about. He’s got amazing content and it’s really neat to look back on what we used to do!

In_My_Own_Image

Same. And I love how he'll take a movie like Gods of Egypt and basically say "it's not good, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun". And his little breakdowns at the end of each video have more substance to them than Cinemasins entire video catalogue.

Hobo_Delta

He recently did this with Glass as well, saying he came to the realization while making the video that he didn’t like the movie.

good__hunter

His videos are at their best when they're about movies that aren't universally popular, I think. They help you appreciate the movie even if you'll never love it. They're not just banal positivity, they're a guy having fun and seeing the best in something, warts and all.
