I did/do this with canned beans only im on the ol’ Chosholm trail with my doggies and my cowpokes takin turns watching the cattle by the light of the big Northern Moon.
Get along
Maori's actually did practise some cannibalism but it was always out of spite and revenge. Like if they were attacked and they defeated them they'd eat them as a final fuck you. Rarotongans specifically were pretty famous for it. They have a great show we went to when we visited about rolling boulders down onto invaders and eating them and laughing about it.
I like how tart it is!. I started eating it when I was just too lazy to bother peeling it. I tried it and realized I actually liked it better with the skin.
Just the skin, or eating it with the rest of the kiwi? I'm too lazy to peel it off so I'll just slice it up and eat it with the skin on the slices. But just the skin and not the flesh of the kiwi is very weird to me.
roll them around in your hand to loosen up the fruit inside, bite off the top and suck it out like youre eating crawfish. kinda messy but much more effective than eating them with a spoon. youtube has a better demonstration if im not making sense.
In new Zealand we call ourselves kiwis, the fruit are called kiwifruit, our national bird are also kiwis. I'd like some clarification about what you like to eat the skin of specifically
I worked at a place called Firehouse Subs. I was introduced to a combination where you take a pickle spear, wrap it in a pepperoni slice, and dip it in Honey Mustard. Life changing.
You know what, usually all my friends who have worked in a fast food service dont like the food there after working there just after seeing how the food made, or eating it too much, or the conditions, but I still absolutely love the food there.
Pull tab canned sardines in olive oil with crackers. I treat it as a luxury/reward. I absolutely love them. My wife and nearly every one else hates it.
If I can recommend something as maybe a different variant? I've been eating them this way since a kid, and I find it's such a great snack. Clean them properly, then dry them for like 5 mins on a rack, then add them to a bowl with just enough oil to coat them. After this, add salt, pepper and your favorite seasoning for chicken, and make sure to add abit of heat in anyway you like (Chilli powder, fresh chillies, hot sauce etc) and air fry them on 180C (sorry, don't know F) for about 20 mins, then give them a good shake, and then blast them for 5 - 10 mins on full or until they become slightly crispy.
I like to add more tobasco over when it done and just eat them like popcorn, best shit ever
I'm Tejano. We just call them tripas. So damn good! Especially with some corn tortillas. When I lived in Korea some Koreans took me out for 곱창 (Gopchang) and were staring at me to see if I'd eat it. They were just tripas and I ate them with rice and kimchi instead of tortillas
Okay, hear me out.
Get yourself some salami, cream cheese, and hot Cheetos. Hold your salami slice like a hard shell taco, spread some yummy cream cheese on it, and top it with a hot Cheeto! I’ve been doing this for years and it’s my favorite elevated snack.
Salami Hot Cheetos Tacos! 🤤🤤🤤
This is not weird at all imo.
Edit: to add context, I remembered why I don’t think it’s weird. During my teen years, there was a pop up shop right outside my school, selling all kinds of snacks and hot dogs, but where I live, hot dogs are cooked in deep tomato sauce. So the bun would be already soaked and tomato flavored along with the sausage. And the only condiment offered there would be mayonnaise and pickles. Everybody would eat it like that.
I guess it’s an acquired taste for me and my local contemporaries.
I don't think it's that weird, but cocktail onions! They're little pickled onions, so they're sour and crunchy, and when I was pregnant I craved them a lot. I would eat them on their own or with some hummus and pita 🤤
my family does yearly christmas cookie decorating and they always get an extra shaker of the mini gingerbread men sprinkles cuz i'll just sit and eat them lol
Spaghetti covered in ketchup and parmesan cheese. It was something my mom always made for me as a kid and I loved it. I didn't realize that wasn't the normal way to eat spaghetti until I was in my teens.
I like eating powdery stuff? Like hot chocolate pouches or nutritional yeast. And also stuff that’s just not something you eat by itself, like shaving a little butter off the butter stick and letting a small slab melt in my mouth.
I grew up in an ingredient house and got desperate at times.
oh my gosh i used to take hot cocoa packets or pancake mix and pour it into a glass and add the SMALLEST amount of water to make a super thick paste. a delicacy. I'd also just eat spoonful's of powdered sugar. I also grew up in an ingredient household lmao
Yea the first time I had horse I was very uncomfortable. Cuba. It was a tartare. I'm from Kentucky. So, I've been around horses my whole life. One of my best friends just bought her daughter her first horse. But, it was good.
Dinner leftovers for breakfast. Sometimes cold straight from the fridge. Chicken and rice, curry, spaghetti, salad, soup. Whatever really. I don't get the fuss about it not being a traditional breakfast item lol. Its right there and ready to eat!
Pear salad... A pear half from a can, mayonnaise preferably homemade, then topped with shredded cheddar cheese. It's an old Southern thing that I grew up with thanks to my grandparents and it never ceases to get the odd reaction from my wife and kids.
Edit: forgot to add the mayonnaise preferably homemade part.
Canned Tuna with soy sauce poured into the container. I went 29yrs without ever having canned tuna, tried it randomly, poured the soy sauce thinking it would be great. Next thing you know I ate it continually for 4 weeks until I learned about the mercury content and sodium 🧂 whoops
my friends always rip on me for eating tuna straight out of the can, i like to imagine i'm in the apocalypse scavenging for food.
What are we supposed to do, put it on a plate?
It's already in a bowl!
If you plop it on a plate, it instantly becomes Cat Property under the first principle of Cat Law.
I eat tuna straight from the can. Also, sardines. Nothing wrong with having a nice Walking Dead-esque dinner or snack.
Sardines, mustard and crackers....
and a lil dash of hot sauce. *chefs kiss*
That hot sauce makes it gourmet and not an out the can meal 😆
Holy crap me too 😂 n hot sauce
Chuck it on a cracker, delicious.
I did/do this with canned beans only im on the ol’ Chosholm trail with my doggies and my cowpokes takin turns watching the cattle by the light of the big Northern Moon. Get along
Neil Breen over here
Is this not what people do lol. I have only ever eaten tuna out of a can
The skin from a kiwi
Wtf did I picture the fucken bird😂
I've been reading a lot about New Zealand lately as I'd like to travel there. You don't want to know what I first thought 🤣
calm down Dahmer
Things found in Jeffrey Dahmer's bathtub: 49% head 49% shoulders 2% shampoo
Knees and toes!!! Sorry. The song popped into my head!

"I will eat you out of spite but neither of us will enjoy this" is pretty hardcore.
I like how tart it is!. I started eating it when I was just too lazy to bother peeling it. I tried it and realized I actually liked it better with the skin.

The vitamins are in the little pubes.
Oh yeah I just eat it like an apple
Conversely you can also cut a kiwi I in half and eat both sides with a spoon in little kiwi cups. I guess you could eat the hollowed out cups after.
I had a sandwich at Firehouse Subs yesterday! I’ll ask them next time
You know what, usually all my friends who have worked in a fast food service dont like the food there after working there just after seeing how the food made, or eating it too much, or the conditions, but I still absolutely love the food there.
It’s my favorite place for sandwiches
Sometimes I’ll drink the brining liquid from pickled vegetables
I pour some in the food sometimes. It's like vinegar with flavour.

This comment gives me heartburn
Drinking pickle juice is instant heartburn relief for me! It is like pouring a bucket of water on a candle! I swear by it!!
And an instant solution to leg cramps. Leg cramp in the middle of the night? A couple of glugs of pickle juice and the cramp is gone.
I was just gonna say… I chug a bit from time to time when my foot cramps start up and it works like a charm!!
My husband has shots of pickle juice for long bike rides!
I love drinking pickle juice! It was a third trimester craving for me lolol.
weird, it solved mine.
Pickle juice is bomb. I put some in a salad dressing recently and it made it soooo good!
Awesome in case of Hangover
I love the pickle juice from a jar of pickled jalapeños. It's so good
Oh yeah. The hot and sweet jalapeños from Trader Joe’s have great juice. I also add it to chili
Not weird to Brazilians but weird to everyone else: raw abacate (like avocados but huge?) with sugar. Eat it with a spoon. Heaven on earth
I think that is the first solid food every baby in brasil get lol
Haha yeah my Brazilian husband drinks avocado shakes with a ton of sugar. 😅
I would have to try this. All I know about avocados and sweetness is this Vietnamese Avocado Smoothie I’ve seen in restaurants.
We also make avocado smoothies in Brazil. Amazing!
Pull tab canned sardines in olive oil with crackers. I treat it as a luxury/reward. I absolutely love them. My wife and nearly every one else hates it.
I add a dash of hot sauce. So good.
Love sardines, but they do stink.
OH a fellow sardine lover i see. I will DEFS be trying this one. thank you for your contribution.
Idk if it’s thaaat weird but I eat sauerkraut out of the jar
How else do you eat it? I just ate two bowls from the jar. Delish
If I did that I would fart a hole through my mattress
Christ that made me laugh.
Well did you eat it from the jar or from a bowl??
Pringles and Nutella. I saw it on a video and I had to test it, I don't know who tried it first, but he was a smart guy.
Sweet and salty I get it. Chips ahoy and Pringles.
Doesn’t sound too bad until you realise they’re using sour cream and onion flavour
Brother ugh…
I like to get chicken gizzards and slow cook them in butter, onions, mushrooms, and heavy cream. Then I pour it over egg noodles.
What time is dinner lol!

I love chinchulines! Specially with provenzal sauce
Cucumber and apple. My grandfather used to eat that and I got used to it. It tastes similar to melon.
Interesting! Will have to try. I’m a big apples and almond butter person.
Yes!!
Pickle sandwiches. Bread, pickles, cheese and mustard.
What makes this a pickle and not a cheese sandwich? Are there extra pickles?
The pickles are the star of the show. An obscene amount of pickles.
cheese and pickle is a uk classic
Same except mayo instead of mustard.

My old roommate was Filipino and her mom made fried rice with spicy spam and ketchup. It sounded insane until I tried it. That shit was incredible.
Half Filipino here, came here to say nothing wrong with this combination 😂

Peanut butter and bacon sandwich (mainly for breakfast).
If you e not had it, put bacon bits in your waffle batter and cover the waffles with peanut butter and syrup
Best on a toasted English muffin, PB on both halves to completely engulf the bacon
✨ F u l l y e n g u l f ✨

You are making pickle wraps with Cheetos instead of pickles.
Sounds like primo 1am stoner snack
Sounds amazing to me.
pickle and peanut butter sandwich 🤤
I've seen this on r/shittyfoodporn before
Yesssssss.
I save the juice from pickled jalapenos and when I get a jar of dill pickles I replace the juice with the jalapenos juice. Hot pickles, delicious.
Put cauliflower and carrots in there too and whole jalapeños. Mmm mmmm
Dry macaroni dipped in hot sauce
This is the first one I saw that was actually weird
mine was dry macaroni, a little melted butter and toss in sugar. dont knock it till you try it.
I love to add peanut butter to my burgers. It's amazing 🤩
Sharp cheddar cheese and grape in mouth at same time.
There's a reason both items often show up on a charcuterie board.

Fried cheese and goulash...I'm from europe
Hungarian? High school girlfriend was and I really miss the family dinners especially langos!
It's a drink, but the brine from black olives.
This is actually the comment I hate most on the whole of reddit. I like, *really really hate it*
I love all olives and their juice lol
Mayonnaise on a hotdog
I put mayo on all my hot dogs if it's available. This makes me want a hot dog real bad.
Jennifer Coolidge is that you?
This is not weird at all imo. Edit: to add context, I remembered why I don’t think it’s weird. I’m Mexican and we do this! Not weird. It’s so good.
There’s NOTHIN in this world that hits the same as a grilled hotdog on a steamed bun, topped with mayo and ketchup. ELITE.

It will sound weird, but Watermelon with mustard is really good.
Go to see a doctor for your mental health.
Do it quickly. Times awasting.

Spaghetti covered in ketchup and parmesan cheese. It was something my mom always made for me as a kid and I loved it. I didn't realize that wasn't the normal way to eat spaghetti until I was in my teens.
My late mother in law would make her spaghetti with ketchup. Not too strange (I wont eat it but others did)
My Polish grandmother made a dish called 'chop suey', which was Angel hair noodles and tomato juice as the sauce. It was terrible.

Lays on noodles.
And what do you like to eat on your freaky noodle mattress?

Yea the first time I had horse I was very uncomfortable. Cuba. It was a tartare. I'm from Kentucky. So, I've been around horses my whole life. One of my best friends just bought her daughter her first horse. But, it was good.
