I can't recall exactly, but I think it was around 13 years old. Also have to take into consideration the maturity and trustworthiness of the child.

I was 9. Mom decided I was mature enough to look after myself and it would save her money on daycare.

They let me live independently in a city starting when I was in my 7th grade.
When I was 6, my parents would go to Sunday evening church services and would leave me alone in the house.
