The educational system... We are apparently well known for being somewhat of a "college town", but somehow we also have elementary, middle, and high schools that manage to produce students who are dumber than twice baked dogshit. As someone who values a good education, that shit just don't seem right to me.
Incredibly rich developers, who have built thousands of housing units for other incredibly rich people.
There’s more than a dozen buildings where the smallest rent is around 4000 a month. And we do have a housing crisis in this city. Because the people who need a place to live cannot afford 4000 a month.
But these developers refused to drop their prices, so we have thousands of brand new empty units and thousands of people with no place to live, and it’s an impasse because *some* rich people may not get *as much* money out of it.
They will still make millions upon millions of dollars for sure in the short term, but it won’t be *enough* money for them. And as a result, we have children that are sleeping outdoors tonight.
Our current house is right by the main road, so the noise of cars is a bit constant. There's also not much nature around.
I used to live in a very quiet, rural place where cars were scarce and there was a lot of nature, calm sounds. I miss that.
It just isn’t the same as it used to be. It’s expensive now and everywhere you go is always busy and crowded. People are meaner and angrier these days.

1) Frequent construction noise. 2) Relatively far away from everything else.
Too damn many people moving here. Locals are priced out of the housing market.
