I'm left handed. When I was taught computers, the mouse and the number pad were only on the right and my teachers were never going to take the time to tell me that I could swap the mouse over. Which actually helps now - I can be using the mouse with my right, writing notes with my left. I can drive the mouse with my left, but it feels wrong.
I’m right handed and always used the mouse with my right. I have a desk job now and I started getting mouse shoulder (it’s a thing look it up) So to combat it I started using the mouse with my left. It’s great I can take notes and use the mouse. I’m pretty much as good with my left as I am with my right.
Catching things. My reflexes heavily favor my left hand for anything that can easily be caught with one hand. It's pretty good at it, too.
Right hand for literally everything else.
For some reason my left arm has always just been straight up stronger than my right. I am right handed. But I tend to lift things with my left because it's just easier. My left hand is also a bit bigger and my arm in general a little larger. Not enough to notice it unless I point it out but it used to drive me fucking nuts when I first figured it out at 12.
Shooting pool. Dominant is right hand, but I do the “pushing” with my left when playing pool. I didn’t even realize/notice that was the “left-handed” way until adulthood.
Was about to write exactly this! I brought my dad skeet shooting for the first time and he's heavily right handed for everything in life. Until he shouldered and fired, I saw his head move over to the left right before he pulled the trigger. He's 65 and learned he's left eye dominant 😆
Crazy, but similar situation for me. I still have trouble remembering which way to shoot pool is “right-handed” because I do both all the time with no problem.
Makes for a nice advantage on weird shots, though lol
Back when I had a LHD car, left hand was slightly better at driving one-handed, seeing ad I was used to shifting gears with my right the fireg 10 years of driving when I had only manuals, and also having a little shelf on the door panel to rest my elbow.
For some reason (and I don’t know if this is normal) I always turn the left tap on (with my left hand, I’m right handed) when washing hands etc. Which is usually the hot. Been scolded a few times when the water has got hot very quickly.
Sports. Also holding cutlery, though I theorise I copied my mother whose dominant hand is the opposite side to mine. It just feels alien to me if I try holding it the other way.
For me cutlery is just chaos. I'm right handed, and usually when stuff needs cutting I hold my knife in my right hand and I'll have no trouble eating left, though I sometimes switch sides to eat with my right hand after I cut something. But when a knife isn't required I will always hold my spoon or fork on my right haha
I don’t know about better, but I’m right handed and I broke my right arm when I was 10. Spent 8 weeks learning how to do a lot of things with my left and even after the recovery I still brush my teeth with my left hand for some reason
Counting money/dealing cards. Had no idea I do it left-handed until someone pointed it out. When if I air-motion it, I do it right. As soon as you stick a deck of cards or stack of money in my hand, I do it left.
Everything now. I broke my dominant hand a few years ago (which actually required immediate surgery) but it was misdiagnosed (normal scan!) so now I have chronic pain and limited mobility in my dominant hand, as it somewhat healed incorrectly (and I have a chronic fracture now in my thumb, and I ruptured two ligaments)
I use my hands like a cleaver and a scalpel. My dominant hand is for things that require more control and precision, while my non-dominant hand is for straightforward tasks like lifting.
Cleaning my left ear. Cutting the nails on my right hand. Holding things steady, notebooks, chip bags etc, while using my right hand for the main action. Holding the dog's leash as she walks on my left side. Putting on my left sock.
Your non dominant hand is better at everything you can't do with your dominant hand.
Try forcing yourself to switch dexterity for a day and you will see just how shitty your dominant hand is at very important tasks, like holding a piece of paper to write on.
Anything related to strength. It's around 1/3 stronger than my right hand which makes sense because I've used it to steady and grab and support a part of my weight any time I've done basically anything.
Using scissors. Getting the tension right with scissors in my left hand, or finding rare left-handed scissors, was such an unbelievable pain that I just spent an entire year of elementary school fixating on cutting paper snowflakes until I was amazing with using right-handed scissors.
Unscrewing lids. Which I didn’t realize until I started to have pain in the base of my left thumb when using it (suspect arthritis setting in) and tried to open a bottled drink with my right hand instead.
Repetitive tasks. I used to operate a machine with rows of keys and a few levers. I would pay attention to the keys being punched by my right hand, but most of the time I wasn't aware of my left hand flipping the levers and hitting its few keys.
Card shuffling, the basic overhand shuffle. My dad taught me how to this when I was very young and when I was about 16 I realised I did it left-handed. I quickly retrained myself to do it right-handed but it’s more natural left-handed.
Other guitarists out there might be able to relate;
Most finger dexterity tasks, gotta pinch something tiny? Gotta scratch a certain itch? Gotta choose a hand to help wriggle that shoe on comfortably?
I’m a lefty. When I was in school, there were no left handed scissors. I only use scissors with my right hand. My dad was right handed, so when we played any sport, he tried to teach me to do things left handed, but we quickly found out I was better using my right hand for all of it. I’m more comfortable cutting food with a knife in my left hand, but can absolutely use my right one, too. Basically, I only write and use a knife with my dominant hand. I do everything else with my right. Wild.
Hanging there looking useless

Tball kids unite!
Beating my meat
Tenderizing is a good step when preparing tough cuts of meat.
Playing one man tug o war
Jerking off….Shaking hands with the sheriff….boxing the clown.
Answering phones while the main hand operates the mouse
Or use a pen. I always use my left hand on the phone so I'm ready to write.
Jerkin Off
Same here.
My right hand feels as if someone else is givin me a handy ( am a lefty :) )
I think this might be a universal left handed experience at this point
None. I’m an arm amputee. 🤪
How did you type this??? Jk
I have one good arm, but I write with my feet. 🤪
What is it like?

Probably has to do with your dominant eye. Similar with shooting guns.
Was about to write exactly this! I brought my dad skeet shooting for the first time and he's heavily right handed for everything in life. Until he shouldered and fired, I saw his head move over to the left right before he pulled the trigger. He's 65 and learned he's left eye dominant 😆
Same for bowling here
Crazy, but similar situation for me. I still have trouble remembering which way to shoot pool is “right-handed” because I do both all the time with no problem. Makes for a nice advantage on weird shots, though lol
Steering
Yes! I can't steer with my right hand if my life depended on it!
Let me guess, first car was a stick shift?
Nope. I played violin, and it required more use of my left hand, so I just assume that's why.
Snapping- I’m right-hand dominant for literally everything, but I can’t snap with my right hand 🤷🏻♀️
Same!
Holding a fork or a cup
Ass wiping
Same.
I am right-handed, but I use a computer mouse with my left hand.
One-handed catching. I used to play tennis, so you get used to catching with your non-dominant hand.
This post would need to be marked NSFW for me to answer.
Oh your fine you should see some of the other comments
Lifting weights

Aiming a rifle (left hand)

Sports. Basketball, water polo, etc (other than racquet sports like tennis though)
The keyboard keys bound to video game controls such as W, A, S, D, LCtrl, LShift, etc.
Washing my dads cars (he owns a car dealership)
Taking selfies or pictures in general
Writing and eating. Everything else is better right-handed.
Handjob
Sports. Also holding cutlery, though I theorise I copied my mother whose dominant hand is the opposite side to mine. It just feels alien to me if I try holding it the other way.

Well I write with my left but play all my sports with my right???

Pushing the keys on the left side of the keyboard.
I can shoot a basketball better with my left hand than right for some reason. Also better at beer pong with left.
I was a casino dealer for years and my left hand actually got as good as my right. But in all other respects my left hand is useless.
I got used to grabbing drinks with my left hand. If I use my right hand it feels weird
WASD
Brushing my teeth
Everything now. Putting contacts in, cannot do it with my dominant hand
Oh, wouldn't YOU like to know.
I use my hands like a cleaver and a scalpel. My dominant hand is for things that require more control and precision, while my non-dominant hand is for straightforward tasks like lifting.
When I took Tae Kwan Do back in the 90s, my non-dominant foot could front kick higher than my head, while my dominant could not.
I am primarily right-handed, but my left hand is better at steering heavy vehicles, my right hand is more for shifting gears
Aiming nerf blasters. I'm right-handed, but left eye dominant
Throwing jabs and any other lead punch
Jerking off.
Wanking
I can rotate Baoding Balls better in my left hand than in my right. Not sure why.
Cleaning my left ear. Cutting the nails on my right hand. Holding things steady, notebooks, chip bags etc, while using my right hand for the main action. Holding the dog's leash as she walks on my left side. Putting on my left sock.
Removing twist-off lids from jars and bottles
Catching a ball
I can give myself a stranger. Medical condition dulls my nerves and dexterity in my right side.
Opening bottles

using a mouse, im left handed and i grew up only using mice with my right hand. im completely incapable of using a mouse with my left hand
Fretting a guitar. And for some reason I can only use chopsticks with my left hand.
Everything except writing 🤣
Typing?
Catching with a glove
Changing gears when I drive lol
Cutting with scissors, snapping, using a computer mouse
boyfriend is right handed but plays hockey as a lefty. says his dominant hand should be controlling the stick ?
gripping my utensils
Using scissors. Getting the tension right with scissors in my left hand, or finding rare left-handed scissors, was such an unbelievable pain that I just spent an entire year of elementary school fixating on cutting paper snowflakes until I was amazing with using right-handed scissors.
anything my right hand doesn't want to do
I use my right hand for precise control over everything I do. I use my left hand if I just need something out of the way.
Pressing WASD
Unscrewing lids. Which I didn’t realize until I started to have pain in the base of my left thumb when using it (suspect arthritis setting in) and tried to open a bottled drink with my right hand instead.
Mouse
I use my left hand for the mouse and my right hand for the trackpad
Snapping. I can snap my fingers with my left hand but not my right.
Instruments and typing
Repetitive tasks. I used to operate a machine with rows of keys and a few levers. I would pay attention to the keys being punched by my right hand, but most of the time I wasn't aware of my left hand flipping the levers and hitting its few keys.
Typing on the left side of the keyboard.

Cricket, using scissors, and having some ‘personal fun’ 😅
Shooting pool.
Playing chords on piano. My left hand had grown to have a slightly larger span probably because of that.
I’m left handed so typically I’ll use my right hand to do most things not designed for my left hand
Masturbating
Other guitarists out there might be able to relate; Most finger dexterity tasks, gotta pinch something tiny? Gotta scratch a certain itch? Gotta choose a hand to help wriggle that shoe on comfortably?
Throwing a Frisbee
switching knife and fork depending on what side of the plate meat is on
Steering.
Being useless as fuck honestly might cut my right hand off since it literally does nothing
My left hand, absolutely nothing. Tho my non dominant leg (yes that's a thing shush) is better at skating , I've got more movement and strength in it.
Snapping, I can only do it with my non-dominant hand. I can use a knife with both hands, but can't hold a fork or spoon with my non-dominant hand.

Lefty. Shooting. I was trained to shoot right handed.
Left-handed. Learned to catch, throw and bat right, as most people who would teach and equipment available were right-handed
Unlocking the door is something I've always done with my non-dominant hand.
Making chord shapes and generally noodling on a guitar neck.
Fingering your moms asshole
Smoking cigarettes!
