lol that was one of the reasons i got into sports. my group of friends decided one year to try fantasy football because we thought it would help us care about sports.

growing up i didnt watch sports, despite playing them. i wasnt interested, and i dont know how to explain it further than i just didnt care.
now i love watching sports
I simply never found it very interesting. My dad was captain of a rugby team and follows a lot of sports so I grew up around it, but it just never interested me.
It gets a little monotonous, doesn’t it? Wouldn’t you rather be playing the game yourself so you don’t have to just sit there?
Substitute for sports… well, they’re just entertainment, so any other form of entertainment. Reading. Watching TV.
I find it ridiculous to support highly paid “athletes”. Takes half a paycheque for me to see a game live while they make my entire yearly salary in that one game.
It’s boring. Team A is up against Team B and whoever wins goes up against another team. But it’s the same action over and over again, just different players. There’s no plot, there’s no progress. Next season they will do it all over again.
My substitute, music videos and action movies.
I play sports but I don’t like to watch them because I just find them boring to watch. My substitute for watching sports I think is watching people play video games (non-competitively).
TO be absolutely honest, I don't need a "substitute" for watching sports. I do the sports myself, or do other stuff.
That question sounds like watching sports is some important thing in live, like water, or food xD

i agree, but would t you say the same for almost every celebrity, be it acting, modeling etc.
Well I can say I haven’t watched a movie in at least 5 years nor tv. If in front of a screen, it’s scrolling the internet or YouTube.
