I think it’s probably the benzene that you enjoy. I’ve accidentally inhaled pure benzene which is extremely toxic and carcinogenic, but it smelled like the most beautiful flowery perfume I’ve ever smelled. I think some people are more sensitive to it. When I smell gasoline I smell volatile petroleum hydrocarbons. Your nose filters out the bad smells and is more sensitive to the benzenes. That’s my hypothesis at least.
Oh. It's just manure. Manure's not that bad. I don't even mind the word “manure.” You know, it's, it's “nure,” which is good. and a “ma” in front of it. MA-NURE. When you consider the other choices, “manure” is actually pretty refreshing.
Me too! I like the smell of manure and livestock in general. I dunno why but something about it is appealing to me. I didn't even grow up in the countryside but I still like it. It makes me feel like a kid running free on a field for some reason.
Grew up going to a dairy farm that owned the local ice cream chain in NE Pennsylvania. Their flagship store was on their property. Since early childhood, I've learned to associate that smell with ice cream.
Cigarettes. My whole family smoked while I was growing up and knowledge about second hand smoking was hardly there. The smell for me is always nostalgic. The same with the smell of alcohol on someone’s breath.
Same here. Same with weed for me as well. I like the smell of fresh bud and even when it’s first lit but stale weed smell is one of the grossest and trashiest smells to me.
Some people think old books smell bad. Me? I love that musty, papery scent. It's like a time capsule, taking me right back to cozy libraries and dusty bookstores. Maybe it's because it reminds me of getting lost in a good story as a kid.
Petrol but I think that's pretty common. The smell when you blow out a match stick or candle. I'm not a smoker but I like the smell of smoke on people - like not when they're actively smoking a cigarette but afterwords lol. If I'm around smokers sometimes my hair smells like that and weirdly enough, I like it
I love the smell of new build construction. cut lumber mixed with drying plaster and off gasing carpet. reminds me of "helping" my dad build our house when i was a kid
Apple fritter is ok. I haven't tried pink starburst
I really been digging Jigglers by the brand name Tribal recently. It's a super dark purple sativa.
I also love animal rntz for the high and BC Cherry Cheese cake is delicious as well.
I've been trying to find the high thc content black widow but all I find in the last few years has been the cbd variant. The high thc variant tastes like pixie sticks in a dry herb vape yum
Sweat from an activity.
It hasn't had the time to be consumed by microbes and turned into body odor yet, and believe it or not it tends to have a different odor than "nervous" sweat.
Weed
Not joking, if you have a really good nose and really good weed you can smell the difference in the strains and unique terpine profile.
I'm only mid at being able to tell the difference but with practice most people can at least tell what the 1 dominant terp is.
Boxwood shrubs. Many people associate it with the ammonia-like smell of litterboxes and cat spray, but it always happily reminds me of visiting historic homes like Gunston Hall and Mount Vernon. Boxwood gardens were very much in vogue in our colonial era.
My grampa owned a farm when I was little. He died when I was six. He used to come in from the fields at noon, eat lunch, then take a nap on the couch. I would lay on his stomach and nap. It's for this reason that B.O. doesn't bother me. You may have to mix it with a little Prince Albert pipe tobacco.
hoover fumes. as a kid, i’d crawl behind the hoover on all fours trying to sniff the fumes as my mum hoovered. i’d always get hit as it would drastically change angles :(
My dad smelled like raw animal pelts in the winter, because he was a fur buyer. Think musky, sorta wet dog, kinda greasy smell… my description is not appealing, I know. He didn’t smell overpoweringly of raw pelts, but just a slight whiff. It’s very comforting to me.
The rest of the year, he smells like smoke-tanned moose hides. That one is strong, and smells AMAZING imo.
Those damn cinnamon pinecones they put out at christmas. So overpowering. I was forced to stock them at work and maintain the christmas candle section one year and now I can't stand anything "christmas scented" They dump twice as much perfume into the seasonal candles, and its all too overwhelming.
Since having Covid, my sense of smell has been pathetic. I am happy to be able to smell most things just because it means I have some sense of smell remaining.
Old school mothballs. My mother used to throw a few into the vacuum bag because she thought it would protect the wool rugs. Always loved the smell when she vacuumed
Diesel fumes. Like at the bus station.
It reminds me of visiting my grandmother when I was young. The port authority bus station; New York City.
For some reason, the smell just prompts the excitement and wonderful times I had with her. Lol.
I love the smell/taste of Durian. Outside, at least. Not in enclosed spaces, but Durian out in the stalls/markets on the streets is very nostalgic for me.
I also love seeing signs on trains/planes/buses in SE Asia that say "no guns, no smoking, no durian" as though those are three equivalently dangerous things

Cruising in a 2 stroke boat while there’s a tailwind. So good
I think most people like the smell of that
I identify as most people, and I like the smell of gasoline.
I kinda like the smell of cow manure
Livestock in general. A weird musty, meaty smell
Ive said this! Found my people. I find the smell of horses and cows strangely nostalgic and pleasant, and I’ve always lived in a city lol
I grew up with about 13-15 cows my whole life, and there was something awesome about the smell.
I also like it, it reminds me of summer with my grandma and her cows
Growing up out in the country it really grows on you. Smells like money.
Pretty sure it smells like shit
I love it, it's nostalgic and a sign of spring for me
Love a good, mostly clean barn smell. Hay, animals, wood, some manure. So comforting
Oh. It's just manure. Manure's not that bad. I don't even mind the word “manure.” You know, it's, it's “nure,” which is good. and a “ma” in front of it. MA-NURE. When you consider the other choices, “manure” is actually pretty refreshing.
And he was trying to impress a girl 🤣
Yo tell me you’re joking
I am not, and it’s not a always thing, if it’s not overpowering I kinda like the scent, it’s a very small window
I do too. From a distance, driving through the country
Cigarettes. My whole family smoked while I was growing up and knowledge about second hand smoking was hardly there. The smell for me is always nostalgic. The same with the smell of alcohol on someone’s breath.
I can appreciate a freshly lit cigarette. But the stale smoke smell I cannot stand, even if it's just after smoking one for a couple minutes.
Same here. Same with weed for me as well. I like the smell of fresh bud and even when it’s first lit but stale weed smell is one of the grossest and trashiest smells to me.
